Pokemon Special is awesome. It's the anime that should have been and still should be. I hope one day it finally get's it's justices and gets it's own anime. The current one fails so hard it's not even funny...

Oh so true.
I still like the anime but the manga is so much better. So realistic and so cool.
I love how each arc has different protagonists, each one with their own story, that return in later arcs. We see how they grow, change, mature and meet each other again.
Not like the permanent 10-year-old Ash who never meets his friends again....Just one episode or two with Misty or May ._.
Plus that they had protagonists that weren't all "pokemon are my friends! we are partners, we'll always work together!" that are super kind and awesome. Like Blue who was trying to fool Red, or Silver who was really a bad guy at the beginning. They all have a great background story like Blue & Silver or Crystal that let you understand the characters more as well as really original personalities like Ruby's and Sapphire's!

The anime fails because it routines around the same cliched events; if anything, they should stop and put in new characters and adventures.
The manga is a perfect example at how Pokemon can still be cool.
