I have just one (probably stupid XP) question: every time you add a new colour, you paint it on a new layer, or is it all the shading, base etc on a single layer?

Hey! Brilliant tutorial :3 The onlything I actually struggle with is how you paint really messy in the beginning, not paying attention to lines and then all of a sudden it's all pretty..
Do you use masks? Or do you just paint over in places like the hair and use the eraser for around the actual body? *confuzzled*
