Description
Just a quick digital painting exercise from a photograph which became mostly a photomanipulation.This is of a narrow marketplace street in a small village near Batroun, Lebanon that I visited last year. Mostly edited for atmosphere.
I thought why not post it rather than let it go to waste. I ought to post more often.

I think this looks wonderful! I love the contrast of the sunlight against the street. The sunlight even seems to make it seem a little magical.

The tree leaves are in the original photo... I just re-drew them a bit when I was thinking of redrawing everything. I got a bit lazy and stopped at there...

I really love the contrast in the bright colours vs the darker colours. The shadows of the trees does a great job at leading the ciewers eyes to the village in the back.
