Description Since discovering Jon Sarkin's work from a Blind Dweller YouTube video I've been inspired to add more words to my art. There's many things I fundamentally could not have expressed with only faces and patterns and there's many other things that I can't express without solely using faces and patterns. For this piece I was seeking to document what goes through my head when I am working on larger drawings. In trying to genuinely express my emotion and essence I often think about how I think and that changes my emotion and essence accordingly. I've found that it feels more genuine, whatever genuine is, when I'm thinking about what I naturally think about and feeling a flow state where I let myself *be* - something I often colloquially describe as "not thinking" even though that's not an accurate description. These kinds of pieces are thinly veiled meditation sessions inspired by Buddhist practices such as the art of sand mandala. I have certain rules for which pattern should be where that gradually generates the piece in a way not dissimilar to how The Fibonacci Sequence would play a role in the development of a plant leaf or flower. Captioned in this piece are a few koans that came to me while drawing, little riddles from the deeper depths of my psyche.

Here they are in order of addition:

You're thinking about how you think.

You do character comedy! Sometimes you're the character...

You can only tell me what you feel while looking at me.

Translate in theory, iterate in practice.

Killers build corpses and killers die.

The last koan was written shortly before finishing the piece as the last part that I drew, if that gives any hints as to its meaning. It's allegorical and not literal, no worries. I love life, I love everybody, life is good.

Life is God; Death is God. Higher powers keep us in check whether we realize it or not. Seculars often worship Objectivity in striving to be as objective and rational as possible. The Collective Unconscious as a higher power has a tremendous influence on what we wear outdoors and how we behave. I've come to see every force in existence that, Ontologically speaking, is only comprised of itself as a higher power. Each force is infinite yet some forces are simply more infinite. For example: I can do infinite things with ten dollars, but if I have one hundred dollars I can do ten times as many things. Both levels of possibility are equally deserving of the moniker "infinite" yet they are not both equally as infinite. In this case the force of Force may tremendously outpower the force of Human Will if Force is the force of all force. A physicist could easily dismantle this philosophy as an improper usage of the term "force" that stands to spread miseducation and misunderstanding yet I am bereft of a word that can succinctly describe these... things... better than force.
