OFFICIAL TRACK NAME: SUIT YOURSELF

Hey guys and gals! Mr.O here with some awesome news! The second half of Death Battle's season 8 will return with Batman vs...Iron Man! A true classic battle of genius billionaire superheroes who use their wealth to create armor and gadgets to protect the world from evil! These same gadgets allow them to contend with powerful beings despite their lack of superpowers and make them valuable members of prominent superhero teams(Justice League & The Avengers). However, despite having good intentions, they always feel some level of paranoia towards their godlike teammates and like that, this leads to them inventing countermeasures against them. Oh and they lost their parents at a young age! Yes, this is Bruce Wayne's 4th appearance as a combatant and people may have issues with this, BUT there might be an interesting twist going on here! This time, they might be focusing on Batman in the Hellbat suit and Tony Stark in the Godbuster armor! We have two combatants and many outcomes, but only one will be chosen!

Who will win?

Batman, The Caped Crusader? Or Iron Man, The Armored Avenger?

BATMAN

At this point, everyone and their grandmother knows the story of the Batman. Bruce Wayne is born into a wealthy family, loses his parents as they were shot by a common thug, travels around the world to train in various martial arts styles, gets inspired by a bat crashing through his window one night and decides to fight crime as the Batman. Over the years, he fought all manner of evil-doers, from common thugs to psychotic super criminals and has battled foes alongside the Justice League, but he knew he would have to step up if he needed to fight against large-scale threats. To this end, Bruce and the League built a dark, cool and edgier suit known as the Hellbat.

Batman himself is a total badass, capable of taking out the trash of Gotham City with his martial arts, detective skills and arsenal of gadgets, but the Hellbat is a beast! Made of a shifting nano kinetic metallic composition, this suit gives Batman enough strength to match a weakened Darkseid and avoid the Omega beams, which are said to be unavoidable. It can fly with a symbiotic pair of wings that can perform neat tricks such as spamming projectiles at enemies, fire off batarangs, wrap around their victim, create shields and disperse into little bats that fly right into his opponent's face! It can turn invisible with a photonic cloaking feature though it's not perfect, shoot beams from his hands and chest, blast other sorts of energy to fight demonic beings, boost the impact of his fists with the "Devastator Punch" attack and eject parts of the suit. All that is run by an A.I. that assists him by watching the outside environment.

It has been indeed capable of keeping up with Darkseid for a while and has been created with the help of the Justice League and Lex Luthor, but like any power armor, it has a deadly flaw. There is a limit to HOW long Bruce can wear the suit given the fact that the suit can drain the user's life and kill them. After all, Bruce was getting weaker as he spent time scouting Apokolips and his battle against Darkseid made it all worse. However...this is the Batman! He can totally play his cards right to make sure he lasts long enough to win! The goddamn Batman!

IRON MAN

When you think of the name Iron Man, you tupically think of the name Tony Stark...or Robert Downey Jr. which is fine too. However, the original child of Maria and Howard Stark is actually a genetically engineered genius called Arno Stark. He was destined to revolitionize mankind, but due to some...defects, he was sent away to be hidden in the Maria Stark Foundation Hospice. They then adopted Tony Stark, who they tried love as their kid, but that was cut short by a car crash that killed them. Following this incident, Tony inherited Stark Industries and did the usual rich boy activities as well as develop weapons until he got shrapnel on his chest from a bomb and was kidnapped by terrorists. As you know, he was told to either create weapons for them or die and in response, Tony created his very first armor, which he used to blow up the caves and escape. Since his escape, he has created thousands of suits in response to various situations all while going by the name of the Iron Man! Due to his paranoia, he's developed multiple busters made to counter certain individuals like Thor, the Hulk, the Phoenix Force and the Motherboard, a rogue operating system he developed as part of the virtual world called eScape. While in this virtual world and free of his human restraints, the Godbuster suit is created.

His most casual of Iron Man suits has enough power to knock out the Hulk and tank the beams of an Atomic Piledriver, which is stated to punch its way through mountains, but I'm sure his modern suits are more powerful than that. The Godbuster on the other hand? It's in a whole other level of it's own, even stated by super geniuses like Riri Williams and Arno Stark to be more powerful than anything they ever seen. Even Tony himself says it's dangerous! It has the standard arsenal like flight, Repulsor beams and the Uni-Beam, but this thing is powerful enough to take out the Motherboard, a superintelligent AI in control of the entire eScape, and defeat the Controller, who can absorb the mental energies of others and did so with the eScape. This is the same villain who gave Viv and Sam(Who have similar powers to Vision and Nova) a hard time and the Godbuster beat him. Tony has a much more powerful armor though and that's the Virtual Armor. It's more powerful than the Godbuster and has all the weapons of the usual Iron Man suits, but THIS ONE can create any weapon that he can imagine, sorta like Green Lantern. This suit managed to demolish Arno's armor, which is based on the Godbuster, and can set up illusions so convincing that even his brother can't see through that.

Tony is certainly a genius and has kept up powerful godly beings, but most of his suits have a limit to how much damage they can take and can be overridden. No such drawbacks to be found on the Godbuster though! Even so, his worst flaws are his alcoholism and the amount of ego he possesses. When you have that much IQ and can create powerful suits of armor, I can't blame him for being that confident! After all, he is the Invincible Iron Man!

Well, this looks like a special case. In any ordinary circumstances, in their base forms, Iron Man would decimate Batman given how the armor is much faster, stronger and durable in a brawl. Sure Bats is a tactician, but so is Tony. The Avenger's sensors would ruin any elements of surprise, he can tank beams capable of separating molecules and can anticipate the Dark Knight's next attack. THAT'S not the real battle...for today's actual fight is...

HELLBAT vs GODBUSTER

Now THIS makes Batman's return a bit more interesting. There's not much info about the full extent of their abilities and certainly NOT so many feats to go with. With all that I could find, let's get right into the prediction.

The Hellbat can really keep up with Darkseid, that is certain, but let's remember something folks. Batman may have been weakened during this fight, BUT so was Darkseid. Meanwhile, the Godbuster destroyed or overpowered the Motherboard, who could warp the reality of the virtual eScape. This suit's more powerful than the Model 61 Godkiller armor that can keep up with the nigh-omnipotent celestials. Okay, not sure on that bit, but Model 63 has been recreated by 3D printers so the Godbuster can also fight in the real world. I would like to see Bruce compete against that in full power.

There's also the unforgettable detail of the Hellbat's most problematic flaw, the life drain. No matter how long Bruce fights, the suit runs the risk of draining his life until he dies, a flaw that Iron Man does NOT possess. This means that, theoretically, the Godbuster can outlast the bat. There's also no reason to doubt that it has all the features of other Iron Man suits such as sensors, warp speed flight like his recent suits, magnetism, immunity to EMPs and energy shields. Oh and his cloaking works far better than Bruce's. If he does have all that, then there might be little that the Hellbat can do besides being possibly faster and probably having just as much strength. Keyword being POSSIBLY.

What about the Final Batsuit?

Despite being shown in this lovely illustration, I am not sure whether it will be included in this battle or not. It IS said to do anything Batman can imagine, but so far, we are only shown little proof of how powerful it is when he only held his own against a Justice League without Superman. Not as impressive as fighting Darkseid.

For now, I can only say Iron Man would likely take the gold medal in this bout.

EDIT: I got news! It seems like they will be given more than just armor so who knows what these two will get! It could change the game!
