TRACK NAME: GODS OF THE APOCALYPSE

OFFICIAL NAME: FALLEN GODS(Death Battle)

(A door opens and Mr.O enters his room)

"Hey guys and gals! It's that time huh? Well this time, we're going over the Nile to check out two of its legendary champions, Black Adam and Apocalypse. Two very old-time terrors that came straight out of Ancient Egypt and have survived in the modern world, eventually becoming powerful foes for teams of superheroes(Justice Society & X-Men) until they began to work with 'em. They are rulers of their respective civilizations(Adam being king of Kahndaq & Apocalypse having ruled many civilizations) and corrupted progenitors to modern day heroes. In some versions of their tales, they were once slaves who gained super powers which they initially wanted to use for good until villain interventions made them turn evil. They also draw their powers from powerful gods(Adam drawing power from Egyptian deities & Apocalypse having enhancements from Celestials). They're also associated with the Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse in some way(BA fighting bio-engineered villains named after them & Apocalypse having notable minions themed after them). This is Black Adam vs Apocalypse! We have to godly combatants and many outcomes, but only one will be chosen!"

"Who will(has) win(won)?"

"Black Adam, King of Kahndaq? Or Apocalypse, The First Mutant and End of All Things?"

----

BLACK ADAM

In several parts of the world, there's always at least one hero protecting their town or nation.  Metropolis has Superman, Wonder Woman helps defend Themiscyra and Gotham has its own Dark Knight. Now, let's turn our eyes to the African nation of Kahndaq, ruled and protected by Black Adam, who isn't exactly a...hero. Not to the outside world maybe. To understand, let's turn back the clock to several millennia ago, when this nation was captured by a barbarian and Teth-Adam was a slave. At one point, he and his nephew Aman stumbled upon a lair which happened to be inhabited by the Council of Wizards, who gave Aman magic powers. This kid shared his powers with his uncles and...it ended in murder once they reached the point of using their powers in different methods. 'Cause of this, Teth-Adam murdered his nephew, stole the rest of the power for himself and overthrew the ruler of Kahndaq, becoming its new king."

"His morality may be questionable, but one thing is clear: he cares deeply for the people of his nation and will do anything to defend it. Even throw hands with his powers. With one shout of "SHAZAM!", he transforms from an ordinary mortal to a powerful god and vice versa. At first, he drew his powers from the Greek Pantheon, but nowadays, he gets them from Egyptian gods. With the Stamina of Shu, he is definitely immortal and doesn't age a day. The Speed of Horus lets him fly and move at insanely fast speeds and he's strong enough to take on Superman thanks to the Strength of Amun. While he's clever on his own, the Wisdom of Zehuti gives him clues as to how to solve a problem or defeat an opponent. This means that he can come up with creative ways to use the Power of Aten, which grants him magic lighting that he can use to strike down his foes, start a giant's heart and even recharge the Flash's energy. Then, with the Courage of Mehen, he has an indomitable will that's so strong that he can even fight through telepathy and battle NUMEROUS heroes at once, with or without a Yellow Lantern ring at his disposal, which was given to him by Sinestro."

"He may have the power of the gods and throw hands with many members of the Justice Society, but all that relies upon the verbal shout of Shazam and it can be a problem when he can't speak or is stuck in his vulnerable mortal form. However, should any invader try to take over Kahndaq, you can safely bet that mortal or not, Black Adam will do what it takes to keep his people safe...with ruthless efficiency."

APOCALYPSE

"It's no secret that throughout Earth's history, mutants have always been feared and hated by humanity, even as far back as the days of Ancient Egypt. At this time, a tribe witnessed the first sign of the end: A BABY! After the birth of this baby named En Sabah Nur, he was abandoned by his tribe until he was adopted by raiders called Sandstormers, where their leader Baal taught him their ways and the philosophy of only the strong survive. As he grew, he surpassed others in brains and power. However, he was eventually captured and enslaved by Ozymandias until his death by the hands of the latter's agents. Thanks to his mutant powers(and maybe a certain Seed), he was revived and overthrew many rulers, using new found technology to change into the Apocalypse of today."

"With the X-Gene, Apocalypse can re-arrange the molecular structure of his body to the point that he's given the strength to battle the likes of Thor and Hulk. He can shapeshift his form so he can take on different appearances as well as turn his hands into weapons like a sword or maybe a mace. He can fly, lift MANY heavy objects with his own brand of telekinesis and become a living kaiju, tall enough to stomp out any form of opposition. He was already a powerful foe by this point, but then he became even more deadly when he got his hands on Celestial tech and got access to it thanks to the time traveling shenanigans of Cable, who accidentally infected him with the Techno-Organic virus. With complete control over this virus and a little present known as the Death Seed, he can control all forms of machinery, absorb energy from others and his regenerative capabilities have reached to an absurd level!"

"With his brains, tech and overwhelming arsenal of powers, it's no wonder that Apocalypse has given teams of heroes such as the X-Men and even the Avengers a hard time. He's very difficult to put down! Although, I should note that with all that great power comes a great hubris. He sees himself as a god and looks down upon those beneath him, especially humans. Can't blame him though. When you're as powerful as he is, you could afford to be a little cocky. Especially in such dark times, when death, pestilence, destruction and famine rain down upon civilization and they come face-to-face with the embodiment of the end of all. All shall remember him as the Apocalypse."

VERDICT/REVIEW TIME!

(Mr.O opens a can of Pepsi and drinks it while reading a history book)

"I'm gonna level with you here. I haven't exactly done much research myself 'cause I was still working on this fine illustration when the episode came out. Had I done so, I would've likely agreed that Black Adam may be the stronger of these two "gods" given his daily scuffles with the Marvel Family and Superman, who may very well be above the likes of Thor and Hulk, both of whom have fought the Sentry, a universal-level Marvel fighter. As for speed, I'm pretty sure Adam has this one too depending on how you see him scaling to the Speed Force users. However, if there's anything I could see Apocalypse having is durability via his Celestial armor which could take damage from weapons made to kill him like a certain axe and his regeneration. He also has the advantages in experience and the multiple extra abilities that he has such as molecular shapeshifting, energy absorption which could counter the enchanted lighting and his telekinesis, of which BA has really no counters for."

"Watching this battle, it was awesome. Yeah, it was a bit short for my liking and maybe it went a little too fast in some parts, but it doesn't take away just how much I enjoy this battle. Love the way it started out as a comic book, given how this is basically another Marvel vs DC comic. It reminds me of Hercules vs Sun Wukong, with that battle also starting out as a scroll. Seeing the 3D environment for Kahndaq, it was quite a beauty and it helped make this battle feel more real. I'm not exactly a fanboy of these two characters, but the banter between the two seems to be accurate to their canon depictions, with Apocalypse talking down on Black Adam with his God complex as he invades the kingdom while the latter retorts with equally strong words aside from the usual shouts of "SHAZAM!" as he defends what's left of Kahndaq."

"At some point prior to watching this fight, I heard that it was gonna be brutal and dear gods, they weren't kidding! BA really gave it his all to try to take down his opponent, but he didn't have many viable options to truly kill and destroy the Death Seed. With all his options eliminated, I got to watch Apocalypse tower over the downed king...and give him the boot! Multiple times! Damn it was brutal! As brutal as Omnilander or maybe more so! As if that wasn't enough, Apocalypse just rubbed salt on the wound as he showed Teth-Adam just what he will do to his kingdom before finishing him off."

"So yeah, it was quite the fight. On one side, somewhat glad that a Marvel character one. I have nothing against DC, but I'm more of a Marvel guy. On the other hand, it's a little sad to see Kahndaq lose its king. One of those few DC characters that I may have rooted for."

(Mr.O gets up from the chair and points at the screen while raising an eyebrow)

"That is all from me, Mr.O and see you in the next world!"
