some more rainbow dash family stuff....biological confusion edition

I wasn't sure if i wanted Heathcliff to be carried by one of his parents or born out of an egg so i KINDA did both. Rainbow Dash carried the egg for nine months and then had to wait a month or two before it hatched. I'm thinking this might be related to some evolutionary griffon survival tactic that resulted out of griffons being a mix between a mammal and a bird? Where, due to the harsh environments griffons often lived in, their offspring were born in a magical egg that waits until the surrounding conditions are safe enough to hatch.

IDK! sometimes I have trouble integrating the magical and biological aspects of my nextgen world building but that's something I want to explore and stress more, that the biology of these creatures is inherently magical and there are magical processes that work alongside and together with biological processes...

The first two are Rainbow at various stages of her pregnancy...eggnancy
4 months in: Glowing, no problems flying or getting around, feeling good, "IDK why mares complain about this sorta thing"
8 1/2 months: Grounded, can barely remember her own name, groggy, regretting ever making the decision to reach sexual maturity and reproduce. this sucks.

the rest is cute stuff. self explanatory. Heathcliff has a little patchwork turtle with a heart on it.

where's gilda? she's there i just didn't draw her but i will SOON!
