Description A wax sculpture made in my art class, using the wax sculptures by Edward Degas as ideas. First made the basic shape out of wire, then tightly stuffed any holes or spaces with cloth, and then tightly tied string around the cloth to keep it in place/give it form. Afterwards, we had to pour liquid wax over it, enough of it to get the thickness we wanted.

It's called Liberation because of the position of the arms and sort of tilted-back posture of the body (not incredibly visible here). The figure's sort of flinging its arms back in freedom/liberation.

Also, not quiiite my favorite project I had to do, but oh well.
