Description *CONTENT WARNING, BIG POSSIBLE TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️!! This is the 4th installment in the My Hero Academia series. This story is between Denki Kaminari and Hitoshi Shinsou. I am NOT writing this under their current ages. This story takes place in the future after they have already graduated UA. I tried something brand new that I've never done before with this story, and that's where the big trigger warning comes into play. This story involves an extremely difficult pregnancy and childbirth filled with complications. Mentions of blood, vomit, passing out and seizures. If you are sensitive, triggered or just don't like mpreg, SCROLL ON. I am sorry in advance to all the Denki x Shinsou ships for this absolute nightmare of a feels train. If anyone has any other MHA ships they want me to write, let me know in the comments. My only limitation is writing about Bakugo and Deku. I hate that ship and refuse to write about it. Thank you!*

"Hey Aizawa. What are you doing here?" Denki asks, stepping out of the doorway to allow Aizawa in. "I was in the neighborhood." He says as he walks in, brushing the freshly fallen snow out of his hair.

"You don't have to lie, Aizawa. You came here to check on Shinsou, didn't you?" Denki shakes his head with frustration. "I know you care about him and you've adopted him into your heart as your son even though he isn't your child by blood or anything but good god, you're going to put yourself in an early grave worrying about him. Did you walk all the way here? In the freezing cold and snow? You lunatic." Denki scolds, "Go get warm by the fire with Shinsou. I'll make some tea."

"I can't help worrying about him, Denki. Blood or no blood, he's my son. You're both stuck with me." Aizawa says, placing his coat on the coat rack. Denki trails off into the kitchen and Aizawa makes his way into the living room. "Hey Shinsou. How are you?" Aizawa asks as he walks around in front of the couch. Shinsou looks up from his book, a smile on his face.

"Hey dad! What are you doing here?" Shinsou exclaims, "I'm doing well as I can be. Hanging in there. Denki's been complaining because I've been nesting like crazy for days." Shinsou laughs. "I can see how I've been kind of annoying with that."

Aizawa chuckles, "Yeah nesting is normal. Denki needs to get over it. How's the little pumpkin doing?" Aizawa asks, his eyes lit up.

"The baby is alright. Kicking up a storm as usual. Do you want to feel?" Shinsou asks, "Don't be shy."

Aizawa sits beside Shinsou and places his hand on his stomach, feeling the baby move and kick within him. "Hey in there little one. I can't wait to meet you and spoil you rotten." Aizawa smiles. "Isn't your due date coming up pretty soon?"

"Yeah. I'm due on Monday, but we are supposed to head to the hospital Sunday afternoon. Denki gets on me over nesting but he's worrying his ass off and won't stop. The weather has him in a panic." Shinsou says, combing his fingers through his indigo colored hair.

"What do you mean?" Aizawa asks, turning to face the fire. "God, that fire feels incredible. It's in the negatives outside and snowing again."

"The snow is what he's worried about. The weather is calling for snow, snow, snow and more snow. There's a high probability of a blizzard and there's already a ton of black ice on the roads. He's terrified I'm going to go into labor and we won't be able to make it to the hospital. Personally I  wouldn't care if we didn't. I hate hospitals and don't want to give birth in one, but I'm considered high risk and don't really have much of a choice." Shinsou shrugs, watching the embers of the fire.

"Hey now! I have every right to be concerned." Denki chimes in, carrying a tray of piping hot tea into the living room. "I'm just worried, okay? I can't help it. You're the love of my life and you're carrying our baby. I don't want anything to happen to either of you." Denki says as he hands a cup of tea to Aizawa and to Shinsou.

"Relax, babe. Nothing bad is going to happen to me or the baby." Shinsou says, taking a sip of the tea. "I don't know how I'm so calm and you're the one freaking out. I highly expected the roles to be reversed considering how much I freaked out when I found out I was pregnant. Dad had to erase my quirk for a while because I was about to kill you. I never wanted kids but I'm attached to this baby now and it isn't even here yet. Is that weird?"

"No that isn't weird at all. It's normal, actually. Your fatherly instincts never developed. They only kicked in after you got pregnant." Aizawa says, "Watching you bond with the baby inside you has been weirdly adorable."

"Yeah don't ever call me adorable again." Shinsou laughs. "I am ready for the baby to get here though. Pregnancy has been miserable. I'm so tired of being pregnant." Shinsou mumbles, glancing out the window at the snow. "I hope you don't object to staying here tonight dad. I don't think you're going to be able to get home."

Aizawa turns his head and looks out the window, only to be greeted by the sight of a violent snow storm raging outside. "FUCK. Hopefully I left out enough food and water for my cats. There's no way in hell I'm getting home in that."

"You're more than welcome to crash here. The couch pulls out into a bed. I don't want you catching your death out there." Shinsou says, looking out the window with worry. "Denki, The storm is picking up fast. The power might go out. If it does, don't bother wasting your energy trying to light up the whole house. But can you make sure all of our cellphones are charged, just in case?" Shinsou asks. "Not gonna lie, I'm starting to worry now. It's all hitting me." Shinsou admits, rubbing his stomach gently.  Denki sits down beside him and pulls him into his embrace.

"Hey. Easy, love. I'm not going to let anything bad happen. Aizawa, do you have your phone charger on you? Let me charge your phone too just in case." Denki asks. Aizawa pulls his charger out of his pocket and hands it to Denki. "I always keep it on me. Thank you, Denki." Aizawa joins the embrace, hugging Shinsou and Denki. "Everything is going to be alright."

Denki puts all of the chargers in his mouth, charging up their cellphones with his electric quirk. "We should be all charged up now. Try to preserve as much battery life as possible." He says, turning to Shinsou. "Babe, would you be comfortable with me blowing up the air mattress and bringing it in here? I need to keep you warm if the power does go out. I can keep the fireplace going all night long no problem, We have loads of firewood in the closet. But I can't keep the heater going all night without my brain eventually short circuting."

"That's fine, Denki. Thank you." Shinsou smiles. Denki runs off and grabs the air mattress, dragging it back into the living room all blown up a few minutes later. He throws a ton of blankets on the bed and gives a few more to Aizawa. The lights start flickering overhead before the house goes completely dark. "Shit, there go the lights. At least we still have the fire for light and warmth." Denki mumbles, poking at the embers with the fire iron. As the hours drag on, the snow storm continues to rage outside. The wind audibly howls outside the confines of the house, rattling the windows. "We should all try to get some sleep. It's 10pm." Denki says, glaring particularly at Shinsou. "Especially you."

Shinsou sighs deeply and raises his hands in surrender. "Okay, okay. I'll try to sleep. You try to get some sleep too, dad. Let us know if you need anything." Shinsou says as he gets down onto the bed.

"I will. Sweet dreams." Aizawa says as he yanks the hide a way bed out of the couch  and settles in. Denki lays down next to Shinsou, pulling him in close for cuddles in an attempt to keep him extra toasty. Denki and Aizawa fall asleep quickly, completely enveloped in the warmth from the fireplace, but Shinsou lays awake, his mind running a mile a minute. He can feel all of his own pent up anxiety overwhelming him and he cries silently, trying his best not to wake Denki and Aizawa. He rubs his stomach and closes his eyes, trying his best to calm down. He starts to doze off finally when a pain in his stomach causes him to fling his eyes open. It starts off dull at first, but grows in intensity. Before long, the pain is spreading across his whole stomach and wrapping around into his back. Shinsou let's out a pained breath and tries to sit up in bed, but can't get out of Denki's arms. He struggles in Denki's arms for a few moments before finally giving up. The pain disappears as quickly as it appeared. Shinsou thinks nothing of it and grabs his book off the floor. "Can't get my mind to calm down enough to sleep, may as well read." He sighs to himself, thumbing open the front cover. He gets a few pages into his book when his stomach seizes with pain, causing him to drop his book and groan out. He quickly covers his mouth, trying not to wake Denki or Aizawa. He pries Denki's arms off him and sits up in bed, trying desperately to get the pain to stop. As the pain grows in intensity, Shinsou tries his best to keep quiet. He grabs hold of stomach and feels his stomach tightening, sending him into panic. "Fuck..Not right now. We can't get out!" Shinsou urges, rubbing his stomach desperately. "Please calm down I'm begging you."

Shinsou tries to get up off the bed when the pain suddenly skyrockets, causing him to come back down. He groans into his hand, muffling the sound. He grips the side of the bed with his opposite hand and tries to ignore the pain. The contraction finally ceases and Shinsou let's out the breath he had been holding in. Shinsou lays there, trying to decide whether or not to wake Denki up when he feels a large gush of liquid come out of him and flood underneath his legs, soaking his pajama pants and the bed beneath him. His heart starts racing wildly, coming to the realization that this is really happening. "Denki?" He whispers, softly at first, shaking him gently. "DENKI!" Shinsou yells a bit louder, elbowing Denki in the side, startling him awake. Denki sits up right in bed, a look of panic on his face.

"What's wrong?!" He exclaims, reading the look of concern and pain on Shinsou's face. It's then he feels the wetness spreading on the bed. "Oh my god.." Denki shoots up out of the bed, his heart racing so fast he can feel it in his ears. "AIZAWA!! AIZAWA WAKE UP!!" Denki yells, and Aizawa shoots up like he's been shot. Dazed and confused, he asks what's going on.

"Shinsou's water broke!" Denki panics, and Aizawa launches himself off the bed to Denki and Shinsou's side. "We have to get him to a hospital." Denki cries out. Aizawa turns to look outside and he sighs at what he sees. "We can't make it out of here you guys. The snow storm really let loose while we were sleeping. The doors and windows are barricaded with snow. We are trapped." Aizawa says, searching his pockets for his phone. "You keep him calm, Denki. I'm going to call the emergency services. I don't know how much good it will do." Aizawa says as he trails off into the kitchen to call the ambulance.

Denki paces wildly around the living room, biting the skin around his nails. "I knew it..I knew it..I knew this was going to happen!" He says aloud. Shinsou heaves himself off the bed and grabs him, holding him still. He grabs each of his cheeks and looks into his eyes, full of a combination of fear and love. "Listen to me, Denki. Everything will be okay but I really need you to calm down right now. You're making me nervous." Shinsou says, groaning and buckling at the knees as a contraction starts up. Denki catches him mid air and helps him sit down. "I'm sorry. I'm just terrified." Denki admits, his heart breaking as Shinsou cries out in pain. "Breathe, baby, breathe. You have to breathe. Come on, do it with me. Deep breath through the nose, exhale through your mouth."

"Okay, emergency services are on their way. Denki-" Aizawa clears his throat as he enters the living room, motioning him forward. "I need to speak with you in the kitchen."

"Okay. Keep breathing, Shinsou. I'll be right back I promise." Denki says as he follows Aizawa into the kitchen. "What's wrong? I can tell by your change in demeanor that something is wrong."

"The emergency operator told me that the roads are blocked with snow and all of their ambulances are out right now trying to get to people who were dumb enough to try and drive on the ice. She didn't sound confident that the ambulance would be here any time soon. All we can do now is keep him comfortable, calm and focused on his breathing." Aizawa says, pacing around the kitchen with his arms around his back.

"Did you tell them that he's high risk?!" Denki exclaims. "What are we supposed to do if the baby starts coming before they get here?!"

"High risk or not Denki, they can't control the weather or get here any faster. She told me if the baby starts coming to just go with it. Trying to delay the birth until they get here could kill the baby. I don't want him being in pain any more than you do, but let's pray he doesn't wind up having to push until we get him safely to a hospital." Aizawa says, panic and emotion showing in his voice. "She did say to keep supplies close by though. Blankets, towels, aluminum foil, scissors or something to tie off the cord with. She said if the baby is born before they can get here to wrap it up in the foil like a burrito to keep the heat in. Considering it's in the negatives at -23°C right now, we need to do all we can to keep Shinsou and the baby warm until help arrives."

"This isn't at all how this was supposed to go...." Denki breaks down, letting tears stream down his face. Aizawa grabs him and smacks him across the face sternly. "Hey. Dry it up. Shinsou needs you to be strong for him right now. I know he isn't showing it right now, but I'm sure that boy is scared to death so suck it up and be there for him! Be a man. You're about to have a baby, it's time you grow up. You aren't in high school anymore." Aizawa fumes, the over protective fatherly qualities in him revealing themselves. "The sun will be rising in a few hours. Hopefully it warms up enough to melt some of the snow and the black ice. We have to keep Shinsou safe until then. Let's get back out there to him." Aizawa demands, grabbing the aluminum foil and scissors off the counter and Denki takes a deep breath, wiping away his tears as they walk back out into the living room. They walk in to see Shinsou pacing around the living room and Denki stops him, wrapping his arms tightly around him.

"Hey honey. Let's get you laid down. You're going to wear yourself out pacing a hole through the floor." Denki says, leading Shinsou over to the couch bed. "Aizawa can you please throw some more firewood in the fireplace?" He asks, wrapping Shinsou up tightly in a blanket. Aizawa quickly chucks some firewood in and then deflates the air mattress Denki and Shinsou had previously been laying on. "I'll go put this in the bathtub or somewhere so it can be cleaned later. Shinsou, we should probably get you out of those wet pants and into a dry pair. The wetness is going to make you cold. Where do you keep your pants?" Aizawa asks, watching as Shinsou's body tenses.

"Second drawer in the bedroom.." Shinsou groans out, leaning into Denki. Denki holds him close and rubs his back, kissing his cheek gently. "Breathe baby. Let me help you get your pants off, okay?" Denki says, gently pulling off Shinsou's soaked pants. Aizawa comes back a moment later with a dry pair and Shinsou pulls them on. "Thank you.." Shinsou groans as he leans forward, digging his fingernails into Denki's arms. "Denki this hurts so bad. I'm rethinking this whole baby thing!" He cries out, his body trembling as the contraction peaks.

"Hey! You listen to me. Everything is going to be okay. I know it hurts. I'm so sorry sweetheart. I'd do anything to take the pain away from you. You're going to be a wonderful father though. This baby needs you. There's no turning back now. I know the baby was a total accident and in the beginning you didn't want it, but these past 9 months have been beautiful. Watching your heart soften as the baby grew inside you. You have no clue how much I squealed internally the first time I walked in on you rubbing your stomach and talking to the baby. We are going to get you through this and bring our baby into the world safe and healthy, even if the circumstances are less than ideal and things don't work out like we planned." Denki encourages Shinsou, and Shinsou buries his face against Denki's chest, bawling his eyes out.

"You're way too good to me. I'm sorry I'm breaking down on you...." Shinsou cries, gripping tightly onto Denki as another crippling contraction tears through his midsection. The pain is so completely overwhelming that his ears start ringing violently, his body completely seizes up and he slumps over in Denki's arms. "Shinsou? Shinsou are you okay?!" Denki panics, and Aizawa sits beside them on the bed, his hand on Shinsou's neck. "He's breathing. That contraction must have been absolutely brutal. The pain made him pass out. He will come around in a minute."

"Aizawa, he really needs to be in the hospital.." Denki says, burying his face into the top of Shinsou's hair. He reaches down and rubs Shinsou's stomach. "You certainly picked a horrible time to come.."

"I know he does. But we can't do anything about it." Aizawa says. "We can't really keep his mind off the pain. There's no way in hell we can. Since we can't do that, I'm concerned that he's going to keep passing out every time he has a rough contraction..His body clearly can't handle this..His labor has barely started and it's already exhausting and overwhelming his body..What exactly was your original birth plan, if I may be so nosey?" Aizawa asks.

"Scheduled C-Section..we were supposed to drive to the hospital Sunday afternoon so he could be admitted and monitored, and his C-Section is early morning on Monday..They determined early on in his pregnancy that with all his complications he would never be able to give birth naturally, and if he did, there would be significant risk to him. The doctors actually told us to terminate the pregnancy....but by that time, Shinsou had already gotten way too attached and refused.." Denki cries, putting his face in his hands. "If something happens to him, it's literally all my fault..I'm the one that got him pregnant, Aizawa! What if I lose him?!"

"Denki, it was an accident. You had no way of knowing that the condom had a microscopic hole in it. You didn't do anything wrong. It came out of the box defective. You didn't know. This isn't your fault. Now shut up, Shinsou's starting to wake up." Aizawa urges, pointing at Shinsou who's starting to stir.

"What the hell happened..?" Shinsou groans. "My head is swimming and I'm so nauseous.." Shinsou puts his hand over his mouth, feeling the nausea build.

"You had a really bad contraction and passed out. Do you need the trash can?" Aizawa asks, and Shinsou nods his head. Aizawa grabs the trash can and puts it in Shinsou's hands just in time. Shinsou throws up violently, heaving into the trash can. He raises his head and groans. "Fuck this isn't good..I really don't want to do this anymore. Where is the ambulance?!" Shinsou asks, and Denki and Aizawa glance at each other, as if questioning each other.

"We should just tell him, Denki. He's going to figure it out. There's no use trying to hide it." Aizawa says, and Denki nods. "Baby, the roads are covered with snow and every available ambulance is out rescuing people who chose to risk driving on the ice. They're coming as quickly as they can but it could be a while." Denki admits, watching Shinsou's face drop.

"No..no! This isn't how this was supposed to go! They have to get here! I can't do this naturally, I need a C-Section! That was the plan!" Shinsou cries out, gripping onto Denki's shirt as tight as possible. "Fuck! This is the worst pain I've ever been through in my entire life!" Shinsou groans out loudly, his whole body trembling again as he contracts. He heaves into the trash can again and falls back into Denki's arms and Denki startles as he feels Shinsou's body heat radiating like red hot fire against him. He looks up at Aizawa, fear in his eyes. "Aizawa, he's on fire but he's literally shivering in my arms. I think he's developed a fever. I don't know how much longer he can handle this." Denki admits, and Shinsou reaches up a hand behind him and pats Denki on the cheek.

"Don't worry, Denki. I can hear it in your voice." Shinsou says through gritted teeth, arching his back with pain. "How am I supposed to sit here and not worry?!" Denki exclaims. "You're in labor, we're in the middle of a blizzard, we are trapped, we can't get you to a hospital, the ambulance can't get to us, you're puking and passing out and now you're running a fever!! Giving birth naturally could kill you! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO NOT WORRY?!" He screams, startling Shinsou. Aizawa flies at Denki, grabbing him off the bed and shoving him into the corner of the wall, smacking him across the face.

"I TOLD YOU TO MAN UP AND TRY TO KEEP HIM CALM!!!! He doesn't need any stress! Sit your ass DOWN and suck it up and be supportive and encouraging before I end you myself! I swear to God boy! You think I was harsh as a teacher in high school pushing all of you to your limits?! I'll show you harsh when I put you six feet under you sorry piece of electric shit!" Aizawa goes off on Denki. Shinsou manages to pull himself off the bed and yanks Aizawa away from Denki.

"Dad, Denki, both of you calm down! You're just as much of a worried wreck as he is, dad!" Shinsou exclaims, trying to break up the tension between Aizawa and Denki. "You guys shouldn't be fighting. Not right now! I need you guys to both calm dow-" Shinsou stops speaking dead in his tracks, his eyes glossing over and all the color draining from his face.

"Shinsou?" Aizawa and Denki say, watching as Shinsou's body starts to shake. "Aizawa what's happening to him?!" Denki exclaims, catching Shinsou just as he passes out and goes down.

"It looks like a seizure. Support his head!" Aizawa exclaims, grabbing his phone out of his pocket. He quickly dials emergency services.

"Emergency Services. What is your emergency?" A far too cheerful voice comes over the phone.

"I suggest you take that cheerful tone and shove it up your ass. I called several hours ago about a young boy, age 22, name Hitoshi Shinsou, being in labor. You should have it on some sort of record there. Where the HELL is that ambulance?!" Aizawa demands.

"I'm going to need you to calm down sir. We are doing everything we can to get there. Can you tell me what's going on so I can inform dispatch?" The operator asks.

"Oh let's see. He's an extremely high risk pregnancy, he was supposed to have a scheduled C-Section on Monday, went into labor several hours ago, he has started vomiting, has been passing out, is running a fever and now appears to be having some sort of seizure!! DO I NEED TO FUCKING CONTINUE?!"

"Calm down sir! I'm trying to help you. Now you said he's having a seizure? Can you support his head?"

"His husband is currently on the floor with him supporting his head. He's shaking pretty bad and his eyes are rolling back in his head!" Aizawa panics, looking over at Denki and Shinsou.

"Okay. I can only make assumptions because I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like the seizure might have been triggered by the fever. You need to cool him down. If he has clothes on, take them off."

"Denki, she said to take his clothes off! He needs to cool down!" Aizawa yells, "the seizure is starting to taper off I think. He stopped shaking but he's still out cold. He's breathing, but he's out like a light. His clothes are off now though."

"Okay. I'm glad he's breathing. Once he wakes up, he's very likely to vomit and be extremely dazed. That's entirely common after a seizure. I've informed dispatch and they are on their way, but with the roads still covered in snow and black ice, there's no way to know when they can get through. Get a damp wash cloth or towel and keep him cool, okay?"

"Okay, thank you." Aizawa says, absentmindedly hanging up the phone. He grabs one of the towels he grabbed earlier and dampens it with water, laying it across Shinsou's head. A few moments later, Shinsou wakes up, looking around confused.

"Did I pass out again..? Why am I on the floor and why are my clothes off?" He groans, grabbing the trash can as he gets overwhelmingly nauseous.

"Sort of..You had a seizure..Pretty sure it was caused by the fever. Your dad called emergency and they told us to take your clothes off to cool you down.." Denki tells him, rubbing his back as he vomits into the trash can. "They said an ambulance is on the way though so just hang on."

"They need to hurry.." Shinsou wipes his mouth, groaning out as a contraction starts. He slams his fist into the floor, frustrated. "I just want the pain to stop! I want the baby out!" He cries, turning around to face Denki. He leans into him for support and Denki holds him tightly, trying his best to comfort him. He feels Shinsou's body suddenly go tense and feels him shift all of his weight. Shinsou starts breathing heavily in Denki's ear and stops responding to him. "Shinsou what's going on?" Denki urges, and his eyes flick up to Aizawa as he hears Aizawa snap his fingers.

"Denki, look down.." Aizawa whispers, "Shit, shit, SHIT!" Aizawa starts to panic. Denki looks down and his eyes widen as he sees blood pooling on the floor.

"What the fuck is happening?!" Denki screams, and Shinsou manages to force himself to speak one single word. "Pressure...."

"What the hell does that mean?! Shinsou talk to me!" Denki urges, and Aizawa lowers himself to the floor, his head twisted awkwardly as he looks at Shinsou's back side.

"Uh Denki? Not to alarm you, but him saying pressure was his cue that he either has to push or is pushing. That's why he's bleeding." Aizawa exclaims, "Okay Shinsou, I don't know if you're with us or completely out of it right now, but you have to push. Don't fight it. This baby is coming. Help him lay down just in case he blacks out again, Denki."

Denki tries to lift him up so he can put him in the bed, but Shinsou puts a hand on his chest and looks up at him, urgency in his eyes. "No..don't move me.." Shinsou whispers, his body tensing up again in Denki's arms. Denki lays him gently back down on the ground and Shinsou automatically tenses, arching his back and grabbing Denki by the shirt behind him. He spreads his legs open and moves his hips desperately. "Can I push now? Please? The pressure is overwhelming!" Shinsou cries out.

"Go ahead and push, Shinsou. It's okay. Don't fight it. Denki, do not let go of him. I'm fucking terrified he's going to pass out or start having a seizure again." Aizawa glares menacingly at Denki, but he can see the terror in his eyes. Denki holds onto him tightly and watches as Shinsou draws his legs upwards. Shinsou bears down and pushes, yelling out in agony as he feels the baby moving down slowly. "Get out of me!!" He cries, bearing down with all of his might. He suddenly feels his ass light on fire and he collapses against Denki, screaming his heart out and gasping. "Fuck it burns so bad! Make it stop!"

"You're crowing, Shinsou. Keep pushing. I promise you it will be over soon." Aizawa instructs. Shinsou cries out desperately and rocks his hips as he pushes, trying to feel some degree of relief from the pressure. He yells out and thrashes violently as the baby's head crowns fully, finally popping completely out with a rush of fluid and blood. Aizawa looks down, the baby's head laid in his hands, and his eyes widen as he sees the amount of blood below them. He glances at his hands, covered in blood, and gets woozy. Denki sees him go pale and Aizawa raises his left hand enough to show Denki what's going on, trying not to alert and stress out Shinsou. "Come on Shinsou, push. You're so close." Aizawa instructs, shaking his woozy feelings away to focus on him. Shinsou raises his legs higher and pushes with every ounce of energy he has left, falling back against Denki as the baby slides out into Aizawa's waiting hands. Aizawa quickly clears the baby's throat, allowing it to start crying and screaming. He cuts the cord and wraps the baby in aluminum foil as the emergency operator had instructed.

"It's a girl, and holy hell does she have a set of lungs!" Aizawa laughs, glancing down at the baby in his arms.

"Shinsou, you did it. We have a daughter. A beautiful baby girl." Denki says, full of glee. Denki looks down at him when he doesn't respond and sees his eyes closed. "Hey, Shinsou. Are you okay?" He rubs and slaps his cheek gently, trying to wake him up, but he doesn't move. Denki's heart drops into the pit of his stomach when he realizes he isn't breathing. "No..no! Aizawa help! He isn't breathing!!" Denki cries, alerting Aizawa that something is wrong. Aizawa quickly lays the baby down on the floor, wrapped in the aluminum foil and a towel. "Shinsou?" He yells, his eyes just happening to travel down. A massive pool of blood is surrounding him and more is coming out of him. "Fucking hell Denki, he's hemorrhaging!! Try to stop the blood while I call emergency again!"

Denki screams out, his heart shattering. "You can't leave me! Don't you dare leave me! Don't you dare leave our daughter!" Denki cries out. "Come on, Shinsou. Wake up!" Denki cries out as he starts desperately pumping his hands against Shinsou's chest, trying his best to do CPR. "Aizawa he still isn't breathing!" Denki screams out, still desperately pumping against Shinsou's chest when Aizawa comes barreling out of the kitchen, his eyes wide with tears as he sees Shinsou's lifeless body on the ground.

"The phone line cut out, but they told me to tell you that they are almost here and to keep doing CPR. They are only 5 minutes away from the house but they have to literally dig us out and that's going to take more time we don't have!" Aizawa panics, picking up the baby off the floor and cradling her close to his chest. Denki desperately pumps Shinsou's chest, but nothing is working. Denki swallows hard, knowing what he must do.

"Aizawa, I must urge you to not try and interfere with what I'm about to do.." Denki stares blankly at Aizawa. Deep in his heart, Aizawa knows what's coming. "Do it. I'll keep the baby safe. Do all you can to save him." Aizawa takes the baby and hides in the bedroom with her. Denki let's his tears fall as he places his hands on Shinsou's chest. "Please God, I'm begging you. Don't take him from us. Please let this work." Denki closes his eyes and focuses, releasing a bolt of electricity directly into Shinsou's chest, causing his body to thrash against the floor. Denki feels for a pulse and feels nothing. "Up the voltage.." He whispers to himself. He releases another bolt of electricity straight into Shinsou, doubling the voltage, but still nothing. "Baby, please.." he cries, releasing bolt after bolt of electricity into Shinsou, trying desperately to restart his heart. "This is the highest I can go without seriously hurting you..Please fucking work. God, I'm begging you!!" Denki takes a deep breath and releases a strong bolt of electricity straight into Shinsou's chest. He lays his ear on Shinsou's chest and his body relaxes as he hears the distinctive thumping of Shinsou's heart beating.

"Aizawa! His hearts beating! His pulse is back!" Denki yells, collapsing to the floor in tears, holding Shinsou's hand like his life depends on it. Aizawa rushes into the living room, relieved as he watches Shinsou's chest rise and fall with his breath, all though it's very shallow. Aizawa and Denki's ears perk up as they hear a loud siren outside and a bunch of voices yelling to hang on. "Shinsou, baby, the EMT's are finally here. Please hold on." Denki begs, holding him close. They can hear the EMT's digging out a pathway through the snow. Several minutes later, the door swings open, releasing a mound of snow into the doorway. 2 EMT's rush in with a stretcher.

"We are so sorry it took so long. I haven't received updates from dispatch for a while, can one of you update me on what's happened since the last update?" One of the men says, grabbing the baby from Aizawa's arms as the other tends to Shinsou.

"He started hemorrhaging blood I think while he was pushing but it got worse after he gave birth and he stopped breathing. His husband-" Aizawa points to the pale in the face, completely panicked Denki who's sitting beside Shinsou refusing to let go of him. "Preformed CPR. We just got his heart beating again."

"Okay what's with the electrical burns on his chest?" The second EMT asks as he loads Shinsou onto the stretcher, Denki still glued to his hand. Denki raises his eyes for a moment. "Regular CPR wasn't working..My quirk is electricity....I shocked him over and over again until his heart started.."

"Looks to me like you saved his life, son. Let's get you guys to the hospital." The EMT's urge, rolling Shinsou and the baby out of the house. Aizawa and Denki ride in the back of the ambulance, and both the baby and Shinsou are quickly wheeled away as soon as they get to the hospital.

"They have to rush him into emergency surgery. The baby is being sent for a check up to make sure she's alright. We will update you as soon as possible." A nurse yells as she runs off with the team wheeling Shinsou away. The hours pass by like years as Denki paces around the hospital waiting room, a complete and total wreck, totally lost in his thoughts. Aizawa sits on one of the chairs, trying his best to remain positive.

"Mr. Kaminari? Is there a Mr. Kaminari here?" A voice rings out across the waiting room. Aizawa gets up and shakes Denki out of his thoughts and they walk towards the voice to be greeted by a doctor.

"Hi there. My name is Dr. Itoshi Takanori. I am the one who preformed surgery on Shinsou." He says, removing the surgical cap from his head. "Firstly, I would like to inform you that your daughter has been checked out and I'm glad to say she is in perfect health. She is in the nursery if you'd like to go up and see her later on. Shinsou pulled through surgery alright, but the damage was far greater than we initially thought. He had a lot of internal damage and he tore pretty severely when the baby crowned. When he started hemorrhaging, he lost a little over half of his blood supply. We had to provide him several blood transfusions to replace what he lost. We got in contact with his doctor, and he told us that you and Shinsou had initally planned to remove all of his reproductive organs during the C-Section, so we went ahead and removed them. Looks like you had signed the consent forms at his last OB appointment. "

"Oh my god.." Denki cries, his hands on his knees. He starts silently thanking God, even though up until this point he's never believed in a higher power. He's just so relieved that Shinsou is alive. "Can I see him..?"

"Allow me to finish." The doctor takes a deep breath. "He survived the surgery, but he is not yet out of the woods. He was clinically and legally dead for over 10 minutes. If and when he wakes up, he might have permanent brain damage due to the lack of oxygen to his brain. There is no way for us to tell how little or how badly his brain is damaged until he wakes up. You may see him, but I warn you now. As we were about to start surgery he started struggling to breathe again. He can't currently breathe on his own, so he's on a ventilator as well as several other machines. We are closely monitoring his heart. If you will follow me, I will take you to him." The doctor motions Denki forward.

"I'm going to stay here and die now. This has been too much damn excitement for one night. I'll visit him when he's awake." Aizawa says, leaning back in a chair with a hand on his face. "Thank you for everything, Aizawa." Denki yells as he speed walks behind the doctor. Denki's heart drops as he enters Shinsou's hospital room. He can hardly stand to see him hooked up to so many machines. "I'll leave you two alone." The doctor says as he starts to leave the room.

"Hey, wait. Can I stay with him? Is that all right? I want to be here when he wakes up." Denki asks, tears in his eyes. The doctor nods. "Sure. That chair in the corner is a recliner if you'd like to try and get some sleep. I'm sorry it isn't more comfortable." The doctor says, exiting the room to leave Denki and Shinsou alone. Denki yanks the chair closer to Shinsou's bed and grabs his hand, just staring at him with tear filled eyes. He stays that way well into the next afternoon, never leaving his side unless it's to use the restroom. He hasn't even left his side long enough to eat. A slight knock at the door startles Denki and he turns to see a nurse entering the room, wheeling a tiny little hospital bassinet into the room.

"I hope it's alright, I figured seeing the baby would do you some good." She says, smiling. She wheels the baby right beside the hospital bed that way Denki doesn't have to leave Shinsou and then exits the room. Denki peers into the bassinet to see a beautiful baby girl with a small tuft of brightly colored indigo hair peering up at him, wrapped up in a butterfly blanket. "Hey there, Princess." He reaches in and picks her up, laying her on his shoulder as she starts to cry. He pats her back gently, trying to comfort her. "Shh princess. It's alright. I'm here." Denki's eyes drift up as he hears a rustle in front of him and his eyes widen as he sees Shinsou awake, dazed and confused, trying to rip out his machines and ventilators.

"Hey, Stop it! Shinsou you're all right. You're in the hospital." Denki urges, pushing the nurse call button desperately. "Nurse, Shinsou in room 310 is awake and you better get in here. He's trying to rip everything out!"

The nurse and a doctor run in, eyes wide as they see Shinsou has ripped out the IV in his arm and is now trying to rip out the ventilator. "Mr. Shinsou, relax. We're going to take the ventilator out for you. Take a deep breath as we pull it out." The doctor says, disconnecting the ventilator. He slowly pulls the ventilator out and Shinsou goes into a coughing fit, his throat dry, sore and hoarse. "What happened? Is the baby okay? I could hear a baby crying and something in me told me I had to wake up."

"I'll tell you what happened. Your husband saved your life. You started hemorrhaging and stopped breathing. He did CPR and when that didn't work, he kept shocking you with his quirk until your heart started beating again. He never gave up on you." The doctor smiles. "I'd keep this man in your life forever if I were you. He's a keeper."

Shinsou looks over at Denki holding their baby, and his eyes fill with tears. "Denki I'm so sorry....I know I put you through hell.... Thank you for saving me and not giving up on me...." Shinsou cries, and Denki leans forward and kisses his head. "I wasn't about to let you die. I love you so freaking much. Would you like to meet our daughter?" Denki asks, his eyes lit up with tears and joy.

"Yes, of course I do. Give her to me." Shinsou says, out stretching his arms. Denki carefully lays the baby in Shinsou's arms and he cradles her against his chest, staring at her in awe. "Hey there little girl. I'm so happy you're finally here and I get to meet you. You have no idea how much love you're surrounded with between Denki, your adopted granddaddy and I. I'll do my best to be the best daddy I can be. I will protect you with my life. I can already tell you're going to be a total daddy's girl." Shinsou smiles, placing a soft kiss on the baby's forehead. Shinsou notices the butterfly blanket she's wrapped in and looks up at Denki. "Hey, we never got around to agreeing on a name. What about Chou? Japanese for butterfly. It suits her."

Denki smiles brightly and leans forward, kissing the baby on the cheek. "Hello Chou, our beautiful little girl." The sound of someone knocking and the door opening startles them, alerting their attention upwards.

"Hey! Oh my god, Shinsou. You're awake! We were so worried." Aizawa exclaims, trying to hide a bunch of balloons and an adorable pink and white flower onesie in his hand behind his back. "I'm okay. I just woke up." Shinsou says, shaking his head at Aizawa. "Dad, what the hell? You've already turned into a crazy grandpa, haven't you?" Shinsou laughs, cringing at the pain he's in. "Oh God, don't make me laugh. Everything hurts." Aizawa lowers himself by the bed and gawkes at his brand new grand daughter. "You're damn right I have. Don't complain that I spoil her rotten. It's literally my job. I'm retired as a teacher so my entire life is going to be consumed by my grandbaby. Have you guys named her yet?" He asks, putting his finger in her itty bitty hand.

"We named her Chou." Denki and Shinsou smile. Aizawa smiles even brighter than before. "Butterfly. What a fitting name for this perfect little pumpkin."
