So I just saw this post on Doggutsz's journal and I am just fucking appalled with the DA Team right now. How they think they can take away the switch button for NEW and EXISITING users without any warning whatsoever is beyond me. There are already a number of complaints on how the switch has been permanentely removed for some people and I just don't trust them anymore. What the hell do they think we are? a bunch of lab rats?

Eclipse is still a work in progress and it's way too soon for them to be forcing people to use it at this stage. If I'm being completely honest, it's hardly changed since the last time I reviewed it (So I just tried DeviantArt Eclipse... ) The site is still tedious to use. Too much clicking is involved to actually get anywhere, not to mention that it takes too long for pages to load on my laptop compared to the old site.

The new custom boxes are also complete horseshit. Taking away html is a huge mistake and they really need to consider adding it back. I like adding gifs to my profile and in order for me to do so on Eclipse, I have to endlessly scroll through a bunch of gifs that either don't load or aren't the ones I'm looking for. You don't even have the option to change the position or resize them, and they're just too small in my opinion. I have no idea why they thought this would be easier, when in reality it's just tedious and time-consuming. With the old custom boxes, I can just simply copy the image address, paste it into the custom box and bam. Gif sorted. They also need to make the background colour palette more obvious. I literally had to tilt my screen up to even notice the thing as it completely blends in with the custom box itself.

Some people are also experiencing migraines due to the high-contrast of Eclipse and the staff don't even seem to give a shit. This issue should have been sorted out as soon as possible, but instead they just plan to force Eclipse onto users without doing anything about it. I know for sure that if a website affected my health in this way, I would not use it.

Overall there a still a number of issues with Eclipse that need to be sorted and I don't think it's right to gradually take away the switch for some people and force them to use this mess. Even with the most recent change logs, the negative feedback still greatly outweighs the positive, and if that isn't a sign that something is wrong then I don't know what is.

Honestly guys, I'd think twice before clicking that switch button now. You just don't know when it's going to disappear.
