I know that the pic doesn't look as cool as the name, but there's a reason for that. The weapon the Ryoko is using is the Devil Slicer, the thunder longsword for MHFU. I'd like to give my take on the weapons, but they're a real pain to look up and because I don't use all of them, my take on them somewhat inaccurate. Most of the thunder-element weapons use Kirin Materials, so I'll just call them the "Kirin Weapons."

Generally what's great about all the Kirin Weapons is that they boost high thunder-element. This is different from it Khenzu weapons counterparts, which focus more on raw power. The Element Attack skill really gives these weapons a huge power boost, with the great sword and longsword each getting a +100 boost. The only exception are the dual swords, but they make up for it with the paralysis attribute that the upgraded versions have.

Monsters that these work wonders against include: Daimiyo Hermitaurs, Shogun Ceanataurs, Rathiens, Ratholos', Plesiothes, the Monoblos, and (amazingly) the Akantor. It also works on the Kushala Daora, but it's better to use Dragon element an that. Also, despite it's appearance, the Shen Goaran is actually resistant to Thunder, so you won't kill it with these.
