Description I realize my feeling wears off the longer I spend on a piece.  can never understand how people can do detailed works without losing that initial inspiration.

This is a scene inspired by the window view of my grand mom's house.  Unfortunately, the whole place has already be torn down in order to build new complexes.  But even now, after leaving my hometown for more than 16 years, I still dream about this view once in a while.

Same here. I got into a few points where I've been working on a piece for so long I start to want to stop and not do any art stuff for a while. It saddens and scares me because art is the only thing I find solace in.
Also, this piece is wonderful. I'm glad you can still remember it. I guess your memory of it is one of the only things that prove it existed.
Cherish it.

beautifully said.  Sometimes I would question myself why I draw, and it always scares me when I cannot find the reason.  I guess even the thing you thought you are most passionate in, needs nourishment here and there.

Thank you
You can have no reason to draw, but just want to draw, and you pick up a pencil or brush and start anyway.
Sometimes, you can have the reason why you draw a particular piece, but lose the will to draw over time. You could be burnt out too, you know.
My mother once told me that anything in excess is bad. I thought it didn't apply to drawing. There are so many things I want to draw!
I want to draw for my friends and loved ones; I want to tell a particular story; I want to contribute to fandoms I'm a part of.
And then, the will to draw is lost, even when I said "Drawing is my everything."
I guess even the hottest flame can burn out, so the best we can do is to brake and take a breathe.

you are too right.  Sometimes i feel that too.  The harder you push it, or the more you want to create, sometimes the more inspirations flee from you. Art is everything but it cannot be everything.
