Description
Domestic cat studies drawn from a skeleton in the taxidermy lab (which we affectionately call the "Dead Room") at the University of Newcastle. I draw a lot of big cats but almost never house cats. I find them really difficult because their sleek bodies hide the anatomy. How do you think I went?Drawn with pencil. Compiled digitally in Photoshop.

At university - I was majoring in pre-med/pre-vet at the time.

We have some animal physiology classes in the biology department at my uni, but I didn't think any of them would help me draw large mammals. They were mostly dissecting frogs, sheep eyeballs, etc. "Anatomy for artists" is not a common subject I think.
