OH MY GAWD. Ok first...I shaded this using a new method. Layer modes. Who knew?? (probably everyone?) 10/10 would recommend using that method if you don't already. Super easy for noobs. Second...y'all! I PAINTED a background! And it doesn't look like crap, or half-assed...or just..like literally all my other backgrounds? lol Have no idea what I'm doing. But it looks good (ish) so I'll settle and work to improve!

And I'm still squinting all over your cell shading - what is this secret technique you speak of?

oh! ok. so. basically I just colored the lineart one solid color and locked it. then did a clipping mask layer over it on multiply with the opacity on 50% or so. then just...scribbled the shading in wherever in a single color

Skin seems to be one of those hard things that take a while to understand. He seems pretty good though!
