I can see Erik curled up under the covers with Charles, listening as Charles reads him something childish and cute to help stave off nightmares. Something like "The Ugly Duckling" because after being shunned by the other ducks, the ugly duckling found out that he wasn't ugly at all, he was just different and beautiful and he wasn't alone.
