That gaze is totally expressing the oppressed beauty of this phenomenon of the in-betweeners. If I had to choose an expression to represent them it would be this one.
The 'just accept it', 'let me be', and 'I invite you to explore it too' gaze.
They knew, I don't know whether I said it already, but they certainly knew why they made the angels genderless creatures.
