i think the pose isn't that bad, i think lowering her elbows a bit and adjusting her fingers in consequence would have given you the look you wanted. Like this it looks like shes pulling on the cat suit hard, which doesn't show on her face and that's why it looks odd.
would be nice if every digital photographer could have a real girl ready to model as reference hehe
