Description
As a life-long resident of North Carolina, North America, I've seldom seen its beauties- in my opinion. Living right along the coastal plain and Piedmont divisions of the state and by an international transportation highway that runs from the mid-Atlantic to southeastern states, the region is dominated by industry in its major towns and cities, leaving few areas of the nature I enjoy. But in this picture, I wanted to show just that: The "life" of my home. Much industry (seen in the background), but a few areas of cradled, beautiful nature.

I've also lived in North Carolina all my life, but I live in one of the worst areas. I'm moving to the mountains around Asheville pretty soon so I hope to post more nature related posts when I get up there.

Ha ha I know exactly how you feel with living in crappy NC regions; I hope you like living in the mountains! That's actually the same area I want to move to one day; I ADORE mountainous areas, and living near them would be paradise to me.

Hi there, I'm happy that there's still a bit of nature around! Over here there's lots but many people don't appreciate it. Many 'wild' regions are full of garbage! People just throw or dump their stuff wherever they want, and you can get plastic bags and beer cans even in places dozens of miles from any town.

What a shame! :/ I abhor seeing littering... it's such an inconsiderate act, throwing treacherous rubbish into the face of the world we're lucky enough to live on. We have similar problems here even: Where I was taking this picture, you could see the occasional trash.

Nice pic! On the other hand you can also think that if the nature was all around you might not appreciate it as much. And it´s nice to go out and explore a bit. I think the fact that you have to search places like this makes finding them even better

I like to take pics of graffiti´s and streetart overall and it´s kinda same with those. The joy of finding something cool. You never know what´s behind a corner of a house or behind a fence. But yeah with nature it´s maybe more rewarding cause often you have to not only be in the right place but also at the right moment.
