This was literally just a fifteen-minute doodle

I'm debating whether to make a story out of it, like a serialized comic but I don't think I have the energy for that

it's a book full of pictures with intense amounts of story possibilities in them, for aspiring writers to brainstorm about.

I think you have talent, and I think you shouldn't be so self depreciative.

I totally get that life is crazy, but it was just a thought anyway. maybe someday when you're a rich and famous artist, you can think about it again

Yeah, but I'm currently a mediocre digital hobbyist what has no more time to doodle

It's not that I'm self-depreciative, it's that I can see exactly where I'm at. This picture that we've formed this comment thread on? Started off as random strokes with a flat brush and then added details with a pencil brush, fifteen minutes because I had no real aim and therefore couldn't be disappointed, and was surprised when people said "ooo I like this one".

Now how about the Eye and Pigeon work? That took nearly ten hours starting from ink sketch going all the way to reflective lighting, most of the time taken in revision and advisory application. I still don't like how it turned out, but I'm literally not on a level high enough to make it look better, which is why I state that I am mediocre.

Do you see now?

I liked the eye and the Pigeon one, too...
But for different reasons. sometimes it doesn't matter how much time goes into a piece of art, just so long as it moves another person emotionally. I happen to like the gloomy hallway picture Because it looks so quick and emotive. I like the eyeball and Pigeon one because of the details of the eye, and because of the wacky idea.

I know it's hard to judge one's own work, especially when this website is full of pros, but I also know that you can do, and have done, things that I currently can not do. all I wanted to say was well done, I would love, when you have more time (maybe, not positively) to see more of this kind of doodle. yeah. I like your work.

I doodle a lot(and alots sometimes) but most of it never leaves my hdd, and a lot never even gets saved. This gallery is maybe ten percent of all my decent works. I don't upload a lot because the 90% is crap.

The number 9 is like that for me.
It's just the perfect number.
3 is my second favorite, and 9 is 3 squared. It's a perfect square, with exactly one in the middle. And the side length of the square is 3.
It's just a great number.
