"Aww, you poor baby! Zest, what happened? Why are you sitting here all alone and cold in the winter snow?" Sam said shocked towards the little kitty, thought after a minute she realized what had happened. "Come, come here and sit on my lap! Warm yourself and rest your weary feet. I just want you to rest." Sam sat down as she spoke with a calm voice so the kitty didn't fear her. "Here, I want to sing you a song that my mother used to sing to me, It may help you go to sleep and feel happy inside again.

You are my sunshine my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are grey.
You'll never know dear, how much I love you,
So please don't take my sunshine away.

The other night dear, when I was sleeping.
I dreampt I held you in my arms.
But when I woke dear, I was mistaken.
So I hung my head and I cried.

"Rest, little girl. Rest." Sam said softly stroking the kitty's head, as her eyes grew heavy and she began to fall asleep. But before the kitty was fully asleep, Sam spoke softly into her ear. "Would you like to come home with me, Zest?"

Dearest Zest,

Even though your name suggests you sour, I find you to be quite a sweet kiri! Your patterns made me smile from ear to ear, so sunny and bright! I even noticed the smallest dots on your cheeks and how they resemble specks of gold.

I know you must have had a good owner to be such a loveable and uplifting kirikitty, and that you have your own secrets to keep of your past. I respect that and I hope that one day you can spread your wings and forget about that past and create a wonderful future, no matter to which home you go to. Mine or elsewhere.

I have one other kiri, his name's Helsing. He quite anti social and sometimes I worry it's my fault, that he's lonely or needs a friend. If you made me smile, I'm sure you could warm his heart. If opposites attract, you'll be some of the bestest friends! At the moment, he sort of dominates the house, if you decide to stay with me, I just know you'd show him how girl's roll!

Ironically, my favorite dress that I wear nearly all the time is yellow. Nearly the exact same yellow as your tail! Of course that has nothing to do with anything, but I think we can connect a strong bond to each other and share secrets like any other girls do.

I think the world of you and your strength, Zest. I hope whatever household you choose, it brings you such happiness that you'll create your own sun rays. I would love to have you and welcome you to my house, but in the meantime, think things over.

CLAIM! OK, here go's...

First of all, I'd like to say Zest is such a gorgeous kitty, the markings are extraordinary. She reminds me a lot of my own cat, even though he is a boy, his name is Nester, which reminds me a lot about her name.Second of all, this would be my first kitty ever, making my attention go towards her the most, and since I don't own many characters, which are cats at least, she would be drawn a lot as well. For some reason, the "freckles" on her face makes her look like one of those kitties that are in the wrong place at the wrong time, but still they're sweet, kind, but energetic. I find these kind of characteristics adorable. I'll probably get her a brother as well, so I can pamper and spoil them both, but in the end they'd still have at least one another to look out for, so they don't become lonely. Also, for some reason, her tail reminds me of the wings of a monarch butterfly. A sweet little butterfly, fluttering around without a worry in the world, suddenly falls into the shadow. The shadow of the cruelty of the world... But she keeps her hopes up, until a light shines into her eyes. The shine of hope.

Zest is a gorgeous kitty, and I think I'd be a great fit as her owner! I haven't had a kitty ever before, and I might be new to this group, but I'd give her so much attention as my first kitty. She is really amazing, her golden spots around her eyes are my favorite, however just look at her tail! Her tail is beautiful, and it reminds me so much of the patterns on a monarch butterflies wings. I really hope that I'm able to adopt Zest, and I would love to adopt her for all the reasons in my essay and more!

When I applied for Plusle and then hit the back button to look at more Kirikitties, I saw Zest, and my reaction was "WHOA! This kitty is absolutely ADORABLE!" So therefore I've decided to apply again. ^^

Zest is just a summer type of Kirikitty-the lemon markings remind me of lemonade, and then summer. I think she looks very unique, and I love unique Kirikitties. It would be so fun to have the honor of drawing her, taking care of her and even roleplaying with her!

I have a lot of free time to take care of this kitty; on top of that, I could draw her and write about her often. She seems like a really sweet kitty, which I would love to have! I could provide a good home for her.

I'm the type of owner that loves accessories; I would often buy her something to wear to make her even cuter! It would also be fun to draw her in these new accessories.

I would appreciate having this Kirikitty so much! I feel bad for Zest, being given up or abandoned when she's such a wonderful kitty. I'm actually shocked, too, because she just has that wow factor that makes it impossible not to look at her. What kind of person wouldn't want her?!

I know I could be a good owner to her; however, if I don't get picked, I hope the person who gets picked can take good care of you, Zest! Good luck ^^

I would like to adopt this very pretty kitty. First of all she is just lovely, her patterns are so nice and pretty. I think she is very sweet and I would love to take care of this sweet kitty. I would not abandon her ever, and if I would ever deactivate, I would give her to a loving owner who would love her and care for her. I don't plan to anytime soon so I wish that I could have this kitty

Claim!
I think Zest would love a place in our home! She looks like a very sunny-personalitied Kitty who is very energetic! She'd have great fun with Kiho, if my hnch is right, for Kiho loves to play games and explore all around! She's always letting her curiousity get the best of her, so she's always exploring something! Kiho is also a very friendly Kitty - she'd definitey welcome Zest into our home with an open heart towards her!!
Maple would have great times wit her, too. A lot of his time is spent keeping Kiho out of trouble, and it's actually quite fun to watch him do that! I think Zest would get a kick out of watching him keep Kiho out of mischief. And when she just so happens to be helping Kiho with her mischief making, it would be quite fun to avoid him!
He could also help her with understanding ceritan things, and help her get used to our home - he's quite a welcoming Kitty!
And then there's Misty. She's such a sweetheart, she'd adapt so quickly to a Kitty like Zest. She's a bit shy, but once you get to know her, she's so sweet! Zest could come to her if she was sad and just needed somebody to be there for her. Misty also gives great advice. She's quite smart - not strategic like Maple, but she'd be able to help Zest with any kind of problem that she had!
And then there's me. I could learn so much from a Kitty like Zest. I'm learning different things from my Kitties every day, and having another Kitty would not only add to the fun, but to the overall house's excitement!
Now, a word to Zest.
Zest, you don't know how sorry I feel for you. I don't knwo who your owner was or why you've been given up by them, but no matter the reason, I think they're crazy!! I would adore having a beautiful and talented Kitty like you.
I feel the pain you've felt. I know you're sad, and like every other KiriKitty and WanWanPuppy and FoxoTrot, all you want to do is impress your owner and love them. In return, you should get respect and care. Your old owner may have provided that, but not enough, I guess, because they've given you up. I, however, can give you the respect, love and care you need! My Kitties can help with that, as well!! They could help you with nearly everything you need if I'm not able to provide it!
I don't like seeing Kitties with broken hearts, it breaks my heart to know that a Kitty has been given up by it's owner. All you wanted was care. So now, I'd like to provide you with that love and care you've desired.
Please, Zest, come home with me and let me mend your broken heart!
Whether it needs to be sewn back together because it was ripped in two pieces, or it needs gluing because it was shattered into a million pieces - I'm willing to do everything to fix your broken heart and save you from a sad, horrible memory. I know how memories can be like oceans, sometimes - they suck you into the blackness of themselves, until you can't see the light anymore and you're not sure what's up and what's down anymore - and no matter how hard you swim, you just can't seem to break the surface. Like a bad dream, too - you just can't seem to wake up. Memories can be like that - they won't let you let go of them (break the surface). But if you have help from those who love and care for you, you can easily forget those bad/depressing memories of your past (breaking the surface with somebody's help).
My Kitties and I would like to be the ones to help you break the surface. We'd like to be the ones to mend your broken heart. We'd like to be your new family, and we'd be absolutely honoured if you actually did pick us to be your new family.
Please, Zest, let me take you home and care for you forever!

I've never had a KiriKitty before. This will be a new experiance for me!~ I don't have any other KiriKitties, giving me more time to draw Zest. Her coat reminds me of sunshine, and the very name tells me I'll be compatable with the little girl~ <3 I don't mind if you choose someone else though, I'll understand ^^

I would like to claim this kitty, because I really want my first Kirikitty. I never seem to be fast enough on the adoptions, nor do I have many clams. Zest is very adorable and I can guarentee I would draw her with my owner - and my sonic characters too! ^^ She would be a great addition to my character family, and she'd always be loved and drawn ^w^

My friend *HachiTheWolf told me about this, and i instantly wanted my own kiri-kitty. I love the cuteness of the kitties and i would definetly rp and draw kiri kitties (Zest and my owner, Miyuki) alot.

I would love to take zest home with me, I belive every kitty needs a loving home, and I want zest to feel the comfort too, If she goes with another person, that is just fine, as long as she has a loving, caring home, with a good owner to be her friend. I want to say to her "You are beautiful" because that would be true. Oh zest, I am so sorry you had to go through this hard time being put in the adoption center, I understand you need the best home you can get, I really hope that is with me. If it is not, Like I said, I pray you have the best owner you can get little Zest, Sweet little Zest...
