Portugal-mun's muse finally returned~! From now on, we're going to take the answer photos ahead of time so we'll always have something in reserve to update with whenever my muse for Portugal drops again. Anyway, we originally had a slightly different answer for this but it was so long ago we forgot what it was so we came up with a new one.
Also, bleh I probably have to work on making Portugal more expressive :/

Portugal's new trade route was listed as one of the major reasons for Venice's decline so it was kind of a big "SCREW YOU" to Veneziano in my personal opinion, hehe. The other reasons were like, England and Netherlands stalking Portugal and taking more of the spice trade, and the Ottomans, and the League of Cambrai why Spain why did you do that, and other stuff... yeah whatever I don't really remember, I need to check my notes.

Like the Papal States hate Venice so much they joined a league to fight it, but then they join Venice to fight France? AND THEN EVERYONE ELSE WHO WAS FIGHTING VENICE SIDES WITH IT AGAINST FRANCE AND THE DUCHY OF FERRARA
