Description I finally found some time in my busy school schedule to make something completely my own The pose is based off of one of 's ootd selfies, but the composition and coloring is completely mine. I've always been a traditional artist, so seeing something like this come to life is pretty great indeed!

Thank you! I'm trying to study different styles that I love while learning some lighting and color effects...It's difficult, but school motivates me a lot to continue! I hope to become as good as the artists I admire!

That sounds like a good plan -- always helps to understand all sorts of styles and tricks, even if you don't use them all the time.

Very slowly! I'll try different style every now and then, but right now I'm focusing on consistency -- drawing the same characters in different positions and working to make them recognizable as being the same person. More often than not, what I draw will resemble the pose/position I wanted, but, if I'm drawing someone in particular, it might not really look like them (in other words, a drawing of an actress might look like a well-drawn woman, but not necessarily like that actress). So that's my goal at the moment -- just trying again and again and again!

Ha! I'll have to do what you are doing right now for my animation classes...Just hoping it works out, animating is very different from simply drawing! For portraits, likeness comes with time, the devil is in the details, as they say! Don't give up!
