I turned, smiling a small smile. ''Hey,'' I called to my new friend who moved in down the street.
''Dude, remember during P.E...''
I nodded abesent-mindedly, noticing he probably didn't brush his curly brown hair this morning.
''Kimi!"
I snapped back into reality. ''Wha?" I said, sidestepping to avoid running into a pole.
''Watch where you're walking.'' Jack said with a grin. I smiled back.

I felt eyes on me as I listened to the c.d reciting the story. Looking up, Jack's eyes locked onto mine. He blinked, then ducked back down. Blinking in confusion, I looked back down to my story. Every once in a while, I would sneak a glance at Jack, seeing he was staring at me. Shaking my head, I listened to my teacher drone on about the story. There was something about him... something that made me smile, his blue eyes? His curly hair? I don't know. everything? Possibly. He was so sweet, so kind. He's funny, energetic, just like me, I thought to myself. Maybe that's what.
