I had to admit, Benji was starting to grow on me. The more time we spent together, the more he started to respect my boundaries. And funnily enough, the more he backed off, the more I found myself drawn to him. Before he was assigned to my Region, my days were long and quiet. And I still enjoyed the quiet. I had just come to appreciate Benji's new look on the job and the actual Region itself. The Marina Coast had more to give than I'd had given it credit for. Beji made me try a little harder because honestly, these pas few months I'd started slipping. My mood taking my work ethic down with it. I don't know if the chief had sensed this but it was pretty coincidental that just around that time he told me Benji would be joining me. I guess I hadn't given the chief enough credit either.
It was the end of another work day. Usually I would hurry back to my quiet time alone. But today I'd told Benji I would stay a little longer to see the sun set over the cliffs. His pure excitement when I'd agreed was honestly kind of endearing. I didn't think of myself as very nice company but judging by Benji's enthusiasm I guess I wasn't all that bad to be around. He'd quieted down as the colours of the sky changed. For a long time I hadn't been able to relax around anyone. But standing here next to Benji enjoying the view, I felt myself calm down. Strange how such a hyperactive stallion could also be so soothing.

Nathan and Benji again! I really like drawing these two :3
I didn't use any references for their poses. I'm trying more and more to draw freehand and it gets a little better every time c: Not super happy with Benji's legs but I love how Nathan turned out.
I think I'll upload their story with small parts, not the long ones I write for Shimi & Strike. More like small scenes to in the end tell the global story. In this part we can see Nathan warming up to Benji c:
