So remember the big Nikdo plush here?

This plush is based on that pattern but I changed pretty much every part of it xD The original pattern credit still goes to of course

So this was a pretty big experiment for me. After making the big Nikdo plush I wanted to see if I could change the pattern to something that would be working more towards the style I want to create eventually.
I wanted the head to be less big, longer and less round. I wanted to have more of a neck going on. Slimmer legs and a shorter body. Also shorter back legs. I also want to work more with safety eyes in the future so I added those as well.
All these changes took a lot of work. Tracing the original pattern on blank paper and then changing it, then also having to think about all the other pattern parts that need to be changed in order to accomodate those other changes.
The end result? A very fat, short bodied horse plush with malformed hind legs I used a LOT of thread sculpting to make him look less fat and to shape the face. So this pattern is definitely not where I want it to be xD
But I learned a lot and I'll try and modify this pattern again to try and get a better outcome. I might not use Nikdo for the tryout but just a flat colour to experiment with before attempting another OC.
I used a high quality faux fur for the mane and tail this time and I like that a lot! Will definitely be using that fabric again I've also baught a lot of coloured safety eyes so the next OC plush will get their actual eye colour!

I'll be drawing a bit before going back to plush making. And I'll be making some other patterns again before continuing this pattern prototype to learn a bit more about certain shapes!
