About effing time I posted these, Juan & JD will agree. These were shot last May (May '08) and I'm just now getting them edited and posted.As always, advanced critique encouraged.
12/12/08: Updated the file. This one should have a little more "pop" to it.

Thanks! This is one of my fave shots just b/c it's rather classic. You're right though, his hand is in the way.

this is a great shot. looks good, is at a very good quality but still theirs something missing.
i don't know what it is but its a lack of interest. i know theirs not much u can do in a winter environment ( cause everything is white ) but maybe if your subject was in colour and everything else was black and white. i think that would be awesome.
anyway still a great pic m8 keep up the good work

Thanks for the critique! I played around with this some, doing mixed color, and it just didn't work for me. Making the background b/w didn't really make him pop too much b/c the bg is already pretty dull. I did do some more editing in PS to see if I could take some of the "flatness" out of it though. Take a look and let me know what you think of the updated version. Granted, you can't see the old one now, so that makes it tough...

it does make it tough but already looking at the update, it does seam to stand out more then it used to.
still love the pic ... a bit better now then before
