Description
So I've been playing some Mass Effect lately, and it's got me wanting to practice intricate scifi armor and plating designs like you often see in games like Mass Effect and Metal Gear Solid. So here's my latest foray into scifi design and concepting. All in all I am very pleased with how it all came out, I think it's a good step forward in designing complex scifi tech visuals. I actually revised the lines on the belly and abdomen during the inking process, to make them more angular/dynamic, in the style of the breastplate. I did two different color schemes, one black/red for a more black-ops feel, and one white/blue which is one of my favorite pristine scifi color schemes. And I also tried adding Stag-Beetles to my growing roster of bug girls.

Story: These lovely ladies are members of the elite Eclipse Corps, highly trained infiltration and subterfuge soldiers. They are wearing state of the art phase armor; the emitter nodes dotted all around the armor encapsulate the wearer within a phasic field that allows them to pass through solid objects, and manipulate spatial distances for short range teleportation/warping. The armor also, obviously, features standard military class personal defenses; ample shielding, physical fortification, and servo assisted strength and dexterity augmentation. Each suit of armor costs more than a small combat frigate, a testament to the value of the Eclipse Corps and their members.

The Eclipse Corps are the elite of the elite, masters of infiltration and sabotage, only special ops soldiers with impeccable records and exemplary service are even considered for admission. They usually work alone, occasionally in small units of no more than three, specializing in eliminating key objectives deep in enemy territory. Eclipse units use their extensive stealth training and phasing abilities to literally slip through the walls of fortified positions and eliminate important personnel, steal critical data, or sabotage key systems. The Eclipse Corps motto is "We are the Eclipse, the shadow that swallows the sun, and our passing is just as swift."
