Most of my stories start that way!

Fun fact, I am a repository of many old timey ballads. There's "Pretty Saro", "Pretty Little Maid in the Garden", "Pretty Polly"... a lot of songs about pretty girls.Ā  And then there's lots of not so nice ones.

There's an excellent audio rendition of Kafka's The Trial if you want strange depressing.Ā  But very engaging.

I always forget Heinlein wrote Starship Troopers.Ā  The movie feels nothing like a Heinlein story.

This is also the guy who made robocop. Violence in the extreme is his big trope. He's good when he clearly carea. But there are moments where he can be really lazy.

At least the book still exists. I take a stance about adaptarions. Really the movie and the book are separate enough. I saw the BFG recently and was honestly underwhelmed. I love the book.

That seems weird to me to hate a book like that. But then i have still to read or listen to it.

But wow what a thing 1984 is to read! I read that when i first ran into the genre of social satire.

Awesome! I hopefully will start the next several pages shortly depending on time and supplies... Coffee being a major factor.
