Description This is me, drawn by a man at a café without my knowledge. I'm completely absorbed in my writing.
The fingertips belong to the man.

It's a good, close likeness? Must have been intriguing & quite exciting to see it!

I've never been the subject of a 'street artist' as we might call them here, but i've a couple of artistic friends who've drawn 'quick' portraits (In colour as well as black & white) of strangers for cash. They once did it over a period of weeks at a holiday-camp. Other venues could include ship cruises where the public, having paid to go the cruise in the first place, need to be entertained, diverted, & distracted during days they're (travelling) on ship.

Oh, wow, let's see, it was quite a long time ago now. I recall my mates' saying that if the sitter had a facial scar or deformity, they'd naturally try to tone down that feature in their portrait. But if on the other hand, he or she was an impatient, unpleasant character, they might to highlight or emphasise it

Yes, i suppose in that situation, as the artist, one would wield 'a little power'. Of course the sitter is paying for the portrait, so the artist cannot act too rash or outrageous
