I, being male, played as male-Shep, so it was either Liara or Ashley. Ashley didnt seem like a very good pick, but in a different profile, I romanced her and found a more sensitive, playful side to her.

yeah, I was never much of a fan of Kaiden, and even my first playthrough, I killed him without a second thought. Even on the second playthrough, he died. This third time I plan on letting him live, see what he does in ME2. Probably something similar to Ashley, but *shrug*
