Description Macro to what extend II,

For this experiment used a Leitz 13,5 cm hektor M39 thread lens from 1939, initially it was produced uncoated but this one was send to leitz in the 50's to have it coated.

Bought this in "Used "condition lens for 40,- .

For this combination removed the lens head which contains the lenses and mounted it to my M42 bellow(20,-) by means of fitters tape carefully taped around the inner barrel just slightly thicker then 42mm in diameter (snug fit) and screwed it into the tread of the M42 bellow, and mounted the unit to the Olympus body with an M42/OM adapter.

So whats the use ??

In this combination it can be used as an 135mm lens which will focus to infinity, but fully extended it can be used for macro !!

It will cover the size of 28 x 21mm of the subject to be photographed !!!

And will give a better usable depth of field of about 10 mm !!

So this is the way to go, it will act as an normal 135mm lens with macro possibilty's !!

will use this combination during the coming weekend !!!

See [link] for hektor .

hope you liked the info, greetz lenZ
