Mid Summer Festival, held in the beautiful background of the Archeon theme park at the Village of Alphen a/d Rijn.

Walking through this theme park takes you back in ancient times ranging from the prehistoric places from 8800 till 12 BC , going over to the Roman time phase from12 BC till 406 AC including its historical Roman buildings , and last but not least the wonderful medieval village which covers the time span from 406 AC till 1350 AC !!
In total there are over 46 carefully reconstructed building with genuine material, that once where situated in the Netherlands, like bridges, medieval houses, Roman temple, prehistoric huts, medieval farms, Roman bathing house, Medieval monastery and lots more to see !!
