The Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-over-the-Dijle Church is a Gothic church Mechelen. The earliest mention of the church dates from 1236. The present church dates from the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries. The church is to Brabant Gothic counted.

The oldest parts of the church's 14th century foundation of the tower and the walls of the aisles. Early 15th century the tower was further increased. Between 1450 and 1480 was ship was completed and started the transept. In 1500 was started construction of the choir. Only at the end of the 16th century the church was completed.

The church has a north portal is attributed to Rombout II Keldermans. J. Franc Quart, The architect of Mechelen Begijnhof Church, added in the 17th century, three chapels to the church.

In 1914 became the south side of the church heavily damaged. In 1944, the roof, the south transept facade, windows and organ also largely destroyed. After the Second World War the church was restored in two phases. From 1949 to 1952 were damaged parts repaired, while the restoration of 1962 to 1968 largely focused on adapting the building to the renewed liturgy. From 2003 the exterior was restored again.
