taken last week opposite my house when, the sun went down under the horizon.

The night is falling in, and in the left hand top corner you will see a quarter moon coming up !

Thr purple(rose) lines are caused by the condensation of the outlet gasses of airliners passing over at high altitude .
(We just live about 7 km from Schiphol airport in the Netherlands.)
