Oh my goodness that is so CUTE. Augh. I get all babytalky over mine. He's a Russian about the same size as yours, just a few months old. I love watching him crawl over things and sniff everything, and the widdle yawn...

Yeah other pics of her (aside from the one with the quarter) a lot of people think she is bigger then what she really is. But she really is tiny! Heck one leaf on that clover was bigger then her head! LOL

Everything has to grow up but they is when you if you truely love the animal or not. If you still love them as much as you did as baby then they will always be cute to you..even if they aren't to anyone else.

Herps are definitely smarter then most people give them credit for. That is one reason why that have lived virtually unchanged for thousands of yrs.

I don't really think they can "hold it" like a dog or cat can. Some species just don't have the physically capability to do that.

ow..I almost forgot to ask other turtle's owner. Do your turtles have solid excess or liquid? when Kame was smaller, she had solid excess but now, it always look like green liquid...is it normal or not?

PaganFireSnake In reply to NovRoz [2008-06-05 13:59:49 +0000 UTC]
If it's coming out as a liquid that's not normal. It could be a diet thing, stress or he may have worms or something like that. The color really isn't a problem if you are giving him pellets that have green dye in them. That can turn it green. I am really leaning towards it being stress. Try getting a higher wattage heat bulb for Kame and keep she quite for a few days and see if that helps.

stress? I don't know, she doesn't look stress out. about the water heater, I never used them...maybe that's the problem...but I don't knowv how to make it warmer. and what with the worm? or maybe not enough vegetables?
She stopped excessing solid excess months ago, and since her appetite and behavior disn't change at all so I thought nothing bad happen...but now I'm begining to worry.

Don't use a water heater..but try usuing a higher wattage of heat bulb then what you currently have on her. Do you have a heat lamp on her and/or the UV bulb? LMK b/c if you don't have either that could be the problem and you definitely need to get both.
Though it might not seem like stress it can be. It could be that she is too cold, in too small of an enclosure...any number of things.

I read in the net, few months after I had her...it said that sliders need 23-30 degree celcius, well Indonesia is already hot and the water temperature is 25-28 degree...that's why I do'nt use any heater.
Should I take her to a vet? is this really serious?

I know you all ready took her. I am glad that you at least found out what the problem was. LMK how she does.
What she really needs is a basking spot. If your house is all ready hot you can use a low wattage bulb. However remember that reptiles sometimes need more heat then what we think they would. They can't regulate their own body temp lie we can so they may need that little extra to help them out.

I took her again yesterday and the bacteria had dissapear and yet she is still having diarrhea...the vet said that probably her intestine is already hurt by the bacteria...so I have to take her for some shots, 1st was yesterday and the next shot will be on wed.
What if her problem is no longer in her intestine...maybe it's the food.?

PaganFireSnake In reply to NovRoz [2008-06-29 16:15:41 +0000 UTC]
It shouldn't be the food. Tho if her intestines aren't feeling that great it could be harder for her to digest food. But if the vet thought that was a problem I am sure he/she would have put her on a different diet until she heals.
