Ohh yes, I remember my Ball Python, she was like that a lot, bitey little things too when they're young haha. Its really neat that he's as chill as he is for a baby, lucky you :3 <3

I've only had a few that were bitey and they were all females. And even then...it didn't last long. Maybe just the first few weeks or so. I have also noticed that it seems like snakes in general are more bitey with men then with woman. I don't know if that actually holds anything...but my personal observations makes me think it's a higher testosterone level that they can sense in men that maybe puts them on guard more. Also they can read your mood and body language better then almost any other animal. I do not pick up or handle any of my snakes unless I am totally calm and relaxed. I've noticed that if inside I am feeling upset they too will get a bit nervous and weary of me. Again these are just my own thoughts on this but I think that kind of stuff definitely plays a roll in how a snake is going to be when you are handling it.

I see, I had noticed a tad, my friend has a male Ball and he's been pretty chill since he was a baby, whereas my Tissa was always pretty nervous/timid/bitey. I suppose that is possible though, Tissa seemed pretty nervous in general around myself and my male or female friends, it must have just been her nature...then again my friends Ball would go after guys, yet be loving towards ladies, you could be onto something haha. I have always tried to be calm with her, but I think my nervousness showed when it came time to feed her and I'm sure that effected her too, not sure why I was so nervous honestly :c Both times she bit me were my fault though, being new to handling a snake, poor girl. I think you're right though, moods and such like can effect the snake and how they react to you :3
