Nice picture. This is -for me- an emblematic work of Niemeyer, along with Brasilia. Everybody can recognize those shapes so easily as the Opera House in Sidney, or the Petronas twin towers in Malaysia, for example.

Absolutely, there are very few architects you can recognise like this at first sight.
I'd also add this to your list: UN building in NYC (Le Corbusier), Guggenheim in NYC (Wright) and in Bilbao (Gehry), etc. The list is very long
You mentioned Brasilia: I loved my 2-days stop there. So many great buildings there (such as Palacio do Planalto that you'll also see in my gallery), very interesting city layout but there were some things I didn't like such as the huge parque da cidade that I found very "empty". It's too bad because it really could be something this park!
