Might as well put this here...how?
Tasks the pics were done and the story should go up some time soon but as thus far I've seen that many people are going for 1pic=done...so yeah.
With that said it's already known he'd get the evolution slip and BAM evolution!
Besides Via is a bit wary of evolving just yet, her last evolution was pretty darn harsh on her body...and it's been like...mills of years for Pyrite, he kinda deserves to evolve.

also i've got news...Pyrite isn't his real name...
Via gave him the name since "being asleep" for so long drains one's mental capacity and memories.
So yeah...he didn't know his name, his birthday, anything about himself just his tribe.
how's that for interesting!

Eh he's fine with it...
However he does have the old name to go by which he remembers when he evolves
I actually have debated on his real name several times...
Zircon, Jasper, Bixbite, etc. etc.
most are named after the oldest minerals known to man.
I like Zircon the most so far though...

That would be a good name but Devon also can mean Demon, Demonic, or other underworld/hell-ish creatures.
However I've found Zircon being a good idea for a name.
It's one of the oldest minerals known to be found, it also sports the colors of gold, dark brown, red, and silver.

Pyrite: He had to take a load off, something to cool down on. Not to mention a new body structure. All of it was so odd to him, he even was confused about his name. The name crawled in his mind, Zircon, Zircon of the Semanass tribe. He had to sit down to think, where was on a rock in the foggy forest just near the city. His mind itched at him, giving him information to flood and he felt like snapping at someone but had just enough will to not to. All he needed to do was just sit back and rest.

Also in the forest, but for very different reasons (the fish have wised up to her hunting tricks), Scythe was wandering around, searching for something else to suck the blood from... That's when she came across a Kabutops.
She gave a hiss in excitement; another member of her species! She moved up to the other Kabutops, her sickles kept low as she stared at the stranger. She couldn't help but notice that he seemed... Familiar...

Pyrite: He took a moment looking down to think before the other approached him. He really didn't need someone coming by him with all this going on however he raised his head up to greet them before noticing it was Scythe. Oh he couldn't just outright tell her to leave, no way! Instead he smiled at her. He wanted to wave but feared he might accidentally wave them to far and hit her. He did speak to her however his voice was a bit different. "Scythe! It's good to see you again..."

Scythe jumped back, hissing at the stranger. How did he know her?! He doesn't look like any other Kabutops she's ever seen before! So why does... Pyrite? She let out a faint hiss, lowering her sickles. She slowly moved closer, just to make sure who it was. Seeing his face, she was certain. Hey friend's evolved!

Pyrite: For a minute he jumped at her hiss, unsure what was wrong at her reaction or even himself. Was an enemy nearby? Did I do something wrong? Does she hate me? All the questions raced his mind before she calmed down a bit. He sighed with relief then nodded his head at her knowing she'd figure it out. "I evolved...yes." He said smiling. He did need to account for the fact that he doesn't look or sound like his old self. Not to mention that name nagging him still in his mind.

She moved towards him, kneeling near the sitting Kabutops. His rock-like exoskeleton had darkened from the more golden look to a darker brown, much better for blending in. He was big and bulky, and seemed to have a thick exoskeleton, clearly useful for surviving blows. His voice had also changed, which was strange.
She raised one of her sickles, lightly tapping one of Pyrite's new sickles. Durable, perfect for tearing things open. She stood up, gentle hiss towards him. He looked more powerful, and more capable of survival.

Pyrite: He took a moment to look over her. He was almost her height, not to mention he weighed a ton more than he used to. Of course he was a bit happy for the change and it seemed that she liked it to so it made him happy to know that. He did have to admit he felt awkward and unstable in his new body, but how to explain it was the problem. "Hey, I know this is great and I love the evolution myself but...I need to learn the first steps in it. I can barely walk as it is...so don't get to deep into the idea of hunting buddies until I can walk...I'm sorry." He did feel sorry, I mean it was sorta sad to know you have the right body for hunting but you couldn't use it. It was like handing a sword to a man who's only trained with a bow, both equally good but both need time to learn.

Scythe nodded, dropping down to the ground, sickles lying flat. She motioned her head for him to follow. Then she raised one sickle, stabbing it into the ground. First step is getting acquainted with moving on four limbs instead of six.

He watched her movements, seeing the sickle stab the ground. He raised his own up and put it into the ground however it was apparent which side had the more deadlier weaponry. His head was lower than his own torso making it a bit uneasy to work with one's head down and well to put it blunt, their tail in the air. He was so used to being level to the ground and now rather than be on it he stared at it. The perspective alone was a bit, odd putting.

She nodded, stabbing her other sickle into the ground, watching him, to see if he understood. She stretched her legs out, straightening her back, waiting for him to mimic that as well.

He seems confused when she stretched her legs out. Moving his own confusingly unsure how they work. He soon pulled them in rather than push them out unsure how they worked however it was a bit more comfortable to him. Keeping his knees locked and his back legs pulled into a more pounce-like state than an all out attack or stand state. His physique is to hide then quickly kill where as compared to her she seemed more of a proud top of the food chain, asserting dominance whilst still having control too. It was actually much easier to sort of walk with this position since his scythes were shorter and could allow more grip.

She was about to hiss, but seeing the new position he had, she shrugged, pulling her own legs as well, mimicking his state. She lifted a sickle out from the ground, moving it forward and stabbing a new spot, opposite leg following.

He looked up at her, since her scythes made her taller than he was. It was almost like he wasn't to much different in this state. He started to crawl around a bit to get used to the walking phase, it was pretty easy with the way he was taking it. Not to mention very similar to his pre-evolved walking stance.

She watched Pyrite walk, nodding slightly. Now he can move, at the very least. She gave a quick, short hissing, adjusting herself into a sitting position, her sickles up out of the ground.

He watched her and her movements to try to get a handle on all of this. It was like he was a kid again which isn't necessarily a bad thing. He soon saw her sit up and took a moment to push himself to sit up. It was difficult since he's never really sat up before however he kept his claws to the ground if possible for balance. He shook around a bit, being wobbly from it.

She looked over to Pyrite, nodding in approval. But then she noticed his sickles in the ground. She lifted her sickles, showing that they were in the air.
Honestly she didn't expect him to succeed this part yet - it usually takes a while to get accustomed to walking on two legs... Still, she'll see how far he can get for now...
