So, the only reason for me to continue with Deviant Art is because of Disney Secret Santa each year. It has truly become my very favorite tradition at Christmas and i have only ever missed it once. LaSirenOfEire mentioned loving this pair and i knew she was the one to choose.

I really love how this piece turned out. I'm especially proud of Jack, I think he looks pretty darn swanky if i do say so myself. I picture him laying on that palm tree and saying, "you therreeee, mermaidddd, can you by chance get my ship out of this bottle?"
I used mostly Sennelier watercolors to really give a lovely, vibrant glaze. That shows up fun in the palm tree and her hair especially.

Thank you also to BonzaiRen who not only always does a superior job hosting this crazy tradition, but also always seems to sneak me in at the last minute- when i inevitably miss sign up due to THanksgiving each year.
