The fresh quality of light and her childlike expression really make this piece stand out and, quite literally, "pop!~" with enthusiasm. The colors are bright, yet gentle, promoting the sensation of Spring which seems to be abundant in this picture. The variations of texture (flowers, lace, hair, skin, and bark) make this rather intriguing. The position and the posture are great--the angle makes her ear look a little pointed, which brings a whole new level of intrigue to the piece--she could be a fairy or a runaway bride, hard to tell. Great angle and light as aforementioned--I would love to see it with just a touch more contrast or saturation, but overall, brilliantly composed, captured, and executed.
