Published - Digital SLR Photography Magazine June 2009 IssueMore reverse lens with the 18-55mm!
It took me a while to get just the right position, framing/cropping, and angle that I was going for and I'm quite happy with the results.
I attached a string to the cherry's stem (lol, yes cherry
who knew it had so much of this detail up close.) and tied the string on a stick so that it would float in a huge cheese whiz jar.Lighting was from a table lamp positioned on the jar's rim for brighter lighting.. putting it just above wasn't enough

hahaha, I inexplicably thought "so it would float in a huge cheese whiz jar" was hilarious.
I looooove this photo. It's so simple, and so... elegant. Love the bubbles clinging to the cherry, the detail of its skin, that dark black-to-blue backdrop behind that rich red! It's gorgeous.
