Description
During the War for Cybertron, Tailgate was fighting a group of Decepticons with Arcee, Ironhide, and Bulkhead when they got separated after a massive explosion. Cyclonus found his archenemy, Tailgate lying on the rubble and he saw that the Autobot was in stasis. When he picked him up, he got a commlink call from Megatron who asked Cyclonus if he and the Decepticons were able to find more Energon and Cyclonus responded to his master that they got into a battle with the Autobots while they were collecting the Energon and Cyclonus was going to inform Megatron that he's going to take Tailgate hostage, but the commlink was cut off before the Decepticon decided to take the unconscious Autobot back to his home where he took care of his injuries rather than take him back to Kaon as prisoner for interrogation. When Tailgate woke up at Cyclonus' house, he was shocked to see that he was in his archenemy's custody/care. Cyclonus was going to call Megatron to let him know that he has an Autobot hostage when he changed his mind and decided to try to get Tailgate to join the Decepticons by treating him with kindness and hospitality. Eventually, Cyclonus got to know Tailgate a lot better and they were starting to get along for a couple hours. It was then that Cyclonus decided to change his mind about getting Tailgate to denounce the Autobots and join the Decepticons before he eventually set Tailgate free and over time, they changed from enemies to friends and star-crossed lovers.
