Before the 3rd act of my Transformers: Prime fanfic, “Smokescreen’s Destiny”, Megatron was being influenced by his namesake, Megatronus Prime who was speaking to him telepathically to force the Dark Energon shard into Smokescreen’s spark chamber to corrupt him. But when Smokescreen pleads to Megatron not to hurt him, Megatron was hesitant with doing what his master was telling him to do. As in my Orionverse continuity, Megatron is taking baby steps towards redemption.
