I have a theory about Being X, he is a lower class God who created his own universe and wanted to be supreme ruler of all and be worshipped and adored like the real God. But one problem, the world he created needed evil in order bring good and bring balance to his world, so he needed someone to be the Satan in his world. And when he met Salaryman and saw how he rejected him as a God and challenged him on his ideals as a God and why the world doesn't truly need to constantly pray to God, he decided to torment him and make him be born a girl and in a war torn universe to not only get him/her to believe, but also because of the atrocities he/she committed as a soldier and the ruthlessness of Tanya will make her the perfect Lucifer and when he has her killed he will be seen as a hero to his world.
Ironically, he is becoming a Devil for having the world be torn to war just to get one person to believe in him.

Thanks, and his world was already full of evil and he knew he messed up and had to get a Satan like person to take the blame or else God will find out and he will be erased, that's why in episode 6 when he revealed to have been the cause of the war he looked desperate and demonic. And while he threatens Tanya that she will not be reincarnated after her death in that world, that was probably a lie to get her to believe like how he tricked her into praying to make her weapon work when she would have been fine without him, but he probably wanted her to fear him like how Satan fears God, but it didn't work and he is pissed off and afraid. With Tanya/ Salaryman, Being X thought he would be perfect as his own Prince/Princess of Darkness for her defiance like the Devil.
Besides if he is a God like he claims, then where is the devil in his own world that hasn't met Tanya, who he/she would have taken a great interest in since "God" is pushing so hard to make him/her believe?
