Ah, lets see...
I started this as a pencil sketch. Similar to my Queen drawing: [link]
I colored over it with markers then added edges and lines with a pen.
I always go from light to dark. So start with the lightest color and work your way to the darkest to create depth.
You can always lighten hair and eyes with a gel pen, which is what I use.
