Hello! I'm here to write a short critique on this photo for CRITmas 2018 and to wish you a Happy New Year.
This photo is terrific. The Christmas spirit in Helsinki is evident in the lights around the stores and over the street, the packages people carry and even the snow. To focus mainly on the woman with the umbrella makes this a very special shot. It draw the viewer's eye first to that woman, dark against the white, and from her to the rest of the street scene. We see the other people as almost secondary to her, almost as background, and I like that. We see them and enjoy this glimpse of them while they walk and shop. Then the lights over the street lead the eye to the two trolleys (I think they're called that), with their lights on in the gloaming - they're spots of warm color, both their lights and the colors of the trolleys. Those colors are here and there in the shops, too. Warm colors. They contrast nicely with the 'cold' colors of black, blue and white. I don't think I could ask for a better shot of shoppers in the evening at Christmas time. The framing, any cropping and adjustment to color is very well done. It's the kind that isn't really noticed. The scene is the whole of it, with many stories to tell. Great work!

There's not much post-processing. It was snowing and I guess it gave the photo a bit painterly look. It's a cropped photo (16:9 aspect ratio). I adjusted contrast and saturation.
