Description
After the Great Collapse, most survivors of humanity retreated into the the safety of the few remaining enclaves, struggling to make the best of each new day.
The men and women who provide this safety are called Purgators.
Organised in sectoid groups, they are secretive stalkers, hunters and fanatics who patrol the enclaves' borders and kill everything they only suspect of infection. Therefore they are feared and needed alike, as they are the only ones who dare fighting the infected and venturing into contaminated zones, but also terrorizing civilians and simply taking whatever they want.

Purgators due to their striving through the badlands have access to many relics from the Old World, including NBC protective equipment which has become a trademark of their appearence. Furthermore, they usually are well-armed with military-grade assault rifles and submachine guns.

The Purifiers are the most powerfull Purgators. They know the ways of the infection better than anyone else and usually are the commanders of the specific sect "protecting" a single enclave.
Somewhat differing from the ways of their brethren, most Purifiers tend to change their mode of combat, as they no longer face the infected ones in open combat, but finally turning the tables and preying upon those they deem a threat to the purity of the human line with stealth and guile. Many a infected - and probably as many that weren't - never knew what struck them, being hit by a sniper round from the shadows.
