Description Well I don't know what to say about this other than it's an experimentation. I'm sick of using the same old brush that doesn't give the results I want, so I switched for something that had no pressure enabled, and had a strange shape.

This is what happened. I'm quite happy with it to be honest but it is a bit confusing to look at full view, seeing as it's not blended. But hey like I said, experiment.

Very quickly then, this is Isaac Clarke, in a suit based off the level 5 one in the game Dead Space. It's not an exact match as no reference was used but anyway, I hope you all enjoy.

Comment and Crit as usual is much appreciated

Edit: Oh yeah, this took me about an hour (maybe, I wasn't watching) in Photoshop CS.

Looks really nice! I really like the rawness of it, and the fact that you used the shaped and lights to put together you image with very little actual 'rendering'. Definitely keep experimenting with brushes, I think your art looks really good with them!
The only critique I have for this kind of extends from the nature of the brushes....I might say that the picture looks a bit fuzzy due to the type of brush you used. It almost has a sense of vibrating.....I'm not sure if that makes sense? That's not inherently a bad thing....but in the future I feel like it would serve a better purse by limiting WHERE you get that effect, such as on more distant parts, or moving parts. You could then leave the chief area of focus a bit sharper, naturally drawing the eye.
I'm sorry if I'm not explaining myself well, and I understand that you were experimenting with your brush. Just wanted to give my two cents for your future endeavors.
But great job, and keep up the good work!!!

I know exactly what you mean because I saw it too, even as I was drawing it. My workaround might be to just use a smooth eraser around the edges, could work. Sorry for the late reply also, I barely visit this place.

Looks pretty damn good to me! I like the style you have used, fits Dead Space's grotty, grittyness.

Thanks. As I said in the comments, it's all experimentation so the grittyness is a direct result of that. Hopefully I can find a good balance between this style and my previous (which can sometimes be too messy, but not good messy).
