Hok lives with her mate in Windhill -- a small town nestled into the forested hills along Murk River. She's her town's florist. She owns a small atrium on the outskirt of town that connects to her cottage in the woods. There she grows her plants for the market and keeps her birds. Much of her time is spent tending to them. Her cottage is airy, open, full of windows and of Victorian furniture. Her fireplace is often alight and surrounded by books and tea cups. She has glass shelves of souvenirs from her travels and plants litter her house. She paints and writes in her free time. Her walls are a collection of finished pieces.

Hok fills her quaint store every morning with new flowers, arrangements, and paintings. She also sells treats and items she discovers on her travels. She takes pride in her shop and her work. Her bird, Dackjaw, accompanies her daily. Dackjaw greets guests and tries to snag treats that anyone brings in from local cafes (and some guests regularly bring her food). Dackjaw also enjoys browsing food stands with Hok and taste-testing fresh food as she collects for her recipes. Hok always has a 'found' jar on her counter from Dackjaw's shenanigans, offering patrons their items back that Dack has discreetly 'borrowed' and hidden.

Hok is known to be quiet, but polite. She is soft-natured which is always evident to customers. She is sometimes seen as reclusive, and while many know her, not many have made it into her home. She tends to be a listener who gives advice, but is quiet about her own life. She knows much of the undertone of town as everyone talks freely to her, which secretly fuels her distrust of others.

She takes regular travels to find new items for her shop (Rookwood Cafe) and appoints Moth to manage the store and home. She packs necessary items, many extra empty knapsacks, and loads her carriage. Dackjaw always accompanies her. She religiously documents in journals her adventures with Dackjaw, as well as curious new items, recipes, flowers, healing herbs, and wildlife. She is a fountain of knowledge about the outside world. She is well regarded by many, while the local superstitious avoid her like the plague.
