Description
A Peltosaurus hitches a ride on a tortoise. I have included interpretations of Celtis hatcheri based on the Chinese hackberry. The color striped patterns on the Peltosaurus are based on the awesomely named Xenosaurus, a distant cousin. I chose to use watercolors with small amounts of gouache to keep the grasses looking soft and give the piece warmer colors.
